December Bespoke Post - Churchill
December Bespoke Post – Churchill

Today was a slow subscription box day (which is okay sometimes), but my (well B’s) December Bespoke Post box arrived today!  This month’s new selections were “Churchill” and “Aged“.  They also offered “The Butcher“, “Crisp”, “Refresh”, “Agave“, “Aces“, “Bota” and “Stirred“, so there were tons of boxes to pick from – old and new.  B opted for Churchill this month, which he’s been super excited to get.

In case you aren’t familiar with them, Bespoke Post delivers fresh and interesting lifestyle brands and products to men. Each month, you’ll get to choose from their limited-edition boxes filled with an array of products built around a central, unique theme. Don’t want one that month? Just skip the month (you can opt out during the first 5 days of the month) and you won’t be charged.

The Box

Our December Bespoke Post shipped via USPS via Newgistics, and took 6 days to arrive.   I’ve also received boxes from them via UPS, so you never quite know how they will ship things.

First Look

Of course I knew what was in the box since we’d selected it online (you can see everything in the box before you decide if you want it or not), but I couldn’t recall everything.  The box smelled great, which I was not expecting at all.

The Information Card

As I mentioned, B selected “Churchill” this month, which included the exclusive gear to help you channel old Winston’s spirit and light up in style — or accent your pad when not in use. Here is what was included:

~E.P. Carrillo Cigar Set (~$70): I had to estimate the price of this set since it’s not sold anywhere expect for Bespoke Post. The set includes the following E.P. Carrillo cigars: 1) Inaugural Limitada 2009, 2) Family Blend #809, Unblended, 3) Edicion Limitada 2013, Variant and 4) Edicion Limitada 2013, Original. One of the cigars (#2) is exclusive to Bespoke! I don’t know much (anything) about cigars, but I trust Bespoke on the quality factor and B was pleased with them as well.

~Europe 2 You Ashtray (Unknown): I cannot find a price for this online.  B saw it and was like that’s a big ashtray! I saw it and was like that’s a cool candle holder.  It’s actually both.  It’s made from reclaimed, historic wood that can be used as an ashtray and then when you are done sparking up, light a candle to help clear the room.  Totally perfect for a man cave.

~Bespoke Post Candle (The Den) (Price Unknown):  This candle is Bespoke Post exclusive, so I can’t find a price on this either.  It smells really really good and is a blend of dry wood, tobacco and leather.  Totally perfect for this.

~Glenfiddich’s Cigar Cutter:  B has a cigar cutter, but I don’t think a spare is a bad thing at all!

~Commonwealth Cedar Spills:  By reading the information car, I learned that these are used to light your cigar.  They ignite a slow burning flame which doesn’t impart any chemical flavor to char your cigar.  I do not think B has ever used these before, but it won’t be long before he tests them out I am guessing.

I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on the December Bespoke Post Churchill box, but I read somewhere that it has a value of over $100.  I totally believe it since I know cigars are quite expensive.  This is probably one of B’s favorite boxes to date and he’s looking forward to getting to use all of it!
