Elizabeth & Clarke, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a seasonal subscription box which brings designer-quality blouses and tees to your door each season.  Shirts are a mix of blouses, tees and work appropriate tops in neutral colors – while, black, off-white and grey.

The Box

Elizabeth & Clark ships via USPS Priority Mail and my box arrived in the stated two days.  For the Fall collection they shipped using DHL Global Mail, but happily they switched back to Priority Mail.

First Look

I hadn’t seen any spoilers for this box yet, so I wasn’t sure what the winter collection included.  I lost my information card so I’m not sure what kind of detail it gave (I was a bit too excited about recycling things and didn’t realize it was in there), but I was easily able to go to their site and grab the shirt names.  Here is what was included:

~The Davis: The Davis, as described by E&C, is a structured peplum blouse made with thick, stretchy (and forgiving!) Ponte de Roma knit.  They suggest pairing it with leggings and heels and some statement pieces and while it is not a look I think I personally could pull off, I do think it other people would look amazing in it.  The quality of this piece is great and it’s much “heavier” than I can show in a picture.

~The Warren: The Warren is described as a perfect transitional blouse from work to drinks, but it’s just not me.  At all.  I can see others looking fabulous in The Davis, but I just don’t know about The Warren.  It might be the shoulder pads.  I can’t get past them.  Or figure out how to get them out without destroying the lining.

~The Paige:  The Paige is a is a draped, asymmetical blouse with an attached scarf and it’s gorgeous.  You can wear it wraped around the front, the back, around your neck or thrown over your shoulder.  With jeans and heels or boots, it’d be totally hot for a date night!

Since the shirts are Elizabeth & Clarke branded, I cannot go online and do a price comparison for you.  But for the price of the shirts ($20/each), it would be hard to find the same quality for less!  I should also mention that if you are not 100% happy, return shipping is free.  So if you don’t love it, you aren’t stuck with it you know?

Did you get an Elizabeth & Clarke Winter Box?  What’d you think?  If not, what’s your favorite piece that I received?  If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here.

I love the Davis shirt! I’m a huge fan of peplum shirts and wanted to order when I saw this, but didn’t because I was trying to cut down on the money I’ve been spending on myself for subscription boxes around the holidays. After seeing your picture I think I regret my choice. This subscription is on my list of subscription boxes to try when I have some extra money to spend on myself!

What size do you need? I will send you mine if you think it’ll fit????

      1. Kristie

That would be amazing! I’m usually a size small, but can definitely wear a medium if it runs a little on the small side.

  2. Jenny

I like the Davis and the Paige but I would do both with skinny jeans. I rarely wear leggings unless I have a long shirt over them and the Davis just isn’t long enough for that. the middle shirt is very dated looking to me. I can’t do shoulder pads at all since I have broad shoulders but really should anyone be doing them anymore? I really think not.

    1. Jennifer

I shouldn’t be doing them that’s for sure. I hope it’s not making a come back.

I got it and it’s adorable. Really cute. I wear size 14, 5 ft 4 with athletic build.

  3. Bethany

This was my first E&C box, but I actually ordered the two shirts in their Forever Collection. I love the shirts though the white is more sheer than I expected. Kinda wishing I had ordered the Davis! Excited to see the options in the Spring Collection, whenever it comes out!

      I think it’s usually March??

  4. Megan

I love both the black tops! I’m not feeling the shoulder pads either, is that coming back cause that would be unfortunate. 🙁 can you order the pieces individually without a subscription I would love either of those for upcoming holiday parties.

    1. Jennifer

I hope it’s not coming back! Please no!

  5. Sam L

I got the Davis and Warren and completely agree with your reviews! The Davis fit me well, but the Warren is awful with those shoulder pads. I will be returning it.

    1. Jennifer

I immediately looked to see if they were removable!

      1. Dani

So did I!!! Unfortunately, I decided it wasn’t worth tearing up the blouse to get at them or spending the money to have someone else do it. Back it goes.

  6. Erica

I want the Davis and the Paige with the passion of a thousand suns. If I were to subscribe right now, would I get the Winter selections? Also…can this be a 12 days of Christmas giveaway?

    1. Jennifer

LOL!! I *think* you can pick shirts on there you want sent if you order now. I could be wrong though???

    2. Jennifer

Okay. I just went and looked. You can buy those two shirts for $35 (total).

      1. Erica

Thank you! Holy moly $35 total is crazy good. Thank you so much!

  7. I got the Warren, Paige, and the button down that is from their “classics” collection (the Taylor). The Warren fits me the best–the Paige fits horribly up top and the Taylor is a lot tighter than anticipated, but it’s still cute. They’re all also longer on me than I think they’re supposed to be. All three shirts are very nice quality. I’m not sure if I’ll keep the Paige and bring it to a seamstress or return it. I’ll likely keep the other two. I’m ambivalent re: the shoulder pads on the Warren.

    1. Jennifer

Do you think they are making a comeback?

        1. Angela Wheeler

Have a new business suit with shoulder pads.

  8. Sher

I am still considering this subscription, so I find your reviews very helpful, thanks!

    1. Jennifer

      Thanks!

  9. Paula

I just received my first E&C box and am very happy with quality of the blouses. The Paige, which I was most excited to receive, does not at all look like the photo. The top part gapes open through the armholes, so unfortunately it’s going back. The Taylor is perfect, though longer and less fitted in person. I also got the basic tee, which you can never have too much of!

    1. Jennifer

      That is totally true!

    2. Jen

I so love the Paige but I just don’t know what to do about the gaping top!

      1. So I’m not the only one who thinks the Paige fits horribly! I can’t understand who possibly designed this and thought it would work on an actual human body. I’m pretty sure it’s going back for me too.

  10. M B E

I had the same problem with the Paige!!! I’m so glad to hear it’s not just me lol. The arm holes gaped open 4 inches and with the zipper on the one side, it pooched out and did not seem fixable at all, so I returned it. Got another Liz Lemon, so now I have two as I already ordered one for the Winter collection. But one can never have too many white tees and these feel awesome. The Davis–A winner for me. Love this one. I’ve been a subscriber for the past three collections, Summer, Fall and Winter 2013, and each time I’ve received three shirts only to have one that doesn’t quite fit the bill. Unfortunately it’s always the button ups with long sleeves. Hmm.
