Yumvelope, who kindly sent me this complimentary package for review, is a monthly snack subscription service. Each month they send you 6 or more full-sized all-natural products from little-known food manufacturers around the country.
Yumvelope ships via USPS Priority Mail and arrived earlier in the week. Boxes typically arrive on the 15th of the month, but since this box was received for a review, it was a tad later for me.
I’ve never received a Yumvelope before, but I have heard great things about their customer service. I saw a few familiar items and a few new ones in the first look and was excited to try some of these goodies.
Yumvelope has a cute information card with product information, prices, details on where you can buy these items, etc. Here is what the box included:
~Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookies ($2.35/each, $4.50): I generally love breakfast cookies and these were no exception! Well at least the Dark Chocolate & Flax. I tried it this morning and loved it. It’s super filling and I am thinking about ordering more. So good!
~Garuka Bars ($3): I have mixed feelings on this. A few bites were good, but I don’t think I’d want an entire bar. If they made this in little snack sized cubes I’d totally be into it.
~Gilded Nut Pistachios ($6/each, $12 total): We received these in our Fancy box this month as well and I am not actually sure if B has tried them yet? He may have take them to work?
~Savannah Bee Honey Body Wash ($2.13): This is great! Totally am unexpected item in here which is probably why I am so excited about it. Yumvelope said it was too awesome not to include, and I agree.
All totaled I came up with a value of $21.63 for the January Yumvelope box. The box is $21/month, so it’s just slightly over the cost of the box, however, unless you could find all these items at your local store, you’d be paying shipping on top of the product cost, so it’s actually a much better value than it shows!
