I was so not expecting this today, but my February 2014 Her Fashion Box arrived!!! If you aren’t familiar, Her Fashion Box (which is based in Australia) sends you one on-trend fashion accessory tailored to your style profile (you can select from Classic, Feminine or Trendy – which I selected), as well as a number of carefully selected beauty products. In addition, boxes will include products, samples or offers from premium lifestyle brands that could include things such as gorgeous stationery, luxury candles, beauty or spa services, hair and make-up tools, gourmet food or wine tasters, cute home wares, online products, entertainment and more.
I signed up back in January (which feels like forever ago) and this was my first box. If you sign up before the 7th of the month, you will be guaranteed a box for that month. After the 7th of the month, you’re subscription will begin the following month.
Her Fashion Box ships from Australia and is supposed to ship during the beginning of the month, but I believe there was some sort of delay this month with international shipments. I think this is only the 2nd month they have done international shipping, so that might be part of it. I believe my package shipped on February 27th and it arrived today, March 8th, so if you ask me, that’s pretty darn speedy. It takes my ipsy longer than that to get here and that’s only a few states away!
I was surprised to see that the actual Her Fashion Box was so small, but happy to see that they included magazines because I LOVE magazines from other countries.
The Her Fashion Box box is actual much fancier than my picture shows. It has a magnetic type closure and is very sturdy. It made it a long way with no trouble at all.
Eeek! I couldn’t wait to see what was under that fun leopard tissue paper!
I wasn’t overly thrilled by the first look, but I hadn’t seen most of what was included in the box either. I did realize that there wasn’t an information card though ;(. I love my information cards (they are so helpful), so I was a little sad, but I made the best of it. Here is what was included:
~ChapStick Day & Night (~$6): Do we have these here? I don’t believe we do, but I wish we did. You know I love Chapstick of all sorts and special day and night ones? Yes please!
~Bondi Sands Summer Bronze Instant Tan (~$16): I briefly tested this out and thought the smell was fantastic. I also love that it washes off so you aren’t committed to a streaky tan if you aren’t the best at applying this stuff (I am awful at it). This is exactly the kind of product I would buy here, so this is awesome.
~Shadow Shields (Sample): I am not sure that my eye makeup is ever fancy enough to need these, so I think I will pass them along to a friend. They help perfect the winged cat eye, creating a straight edge for mascara and protects the under eye area from shadow fallout among other things.
~Rituelle Ginger Apple Perfume (~$14): Totally love this and while browsing their site, I now realized that I need to try their “Cotton Candy” scent. I still love Aquolina’s Pink Sugar and probably always will and I would love to see how they compare.
~Mirenesse Lip Bomb (#27) (~$35): I have received a lip bomb in the past, but I don’t think I realized how pricey they are! This color may be a little much for me, but I am going to try and make it work because I really like this brand.
~Her Fashion Box Bracelets (~$10): I can’t find a price on the Her Fashion Box site for these, so I had to estimate. I actually would probably wear these bracelets in a stack and think they are pretty cute.
~Her Fashion Box Necklace (~$10): I had a heck of a time getting a picture of this necklace, but I did my best. It seems a little young to me (not sure why, but the bracelets don’t and they are basically the same), but I am sure I can find someone who will enjoy it!
~Shop Til You Drop Magazine ($4.50): Like I said I love foreign magazines and this is awesome. Back in the day I used to go pick up British Cosmo and that sort of thing. Love this and I can’t wait to read this, as well as, the Her Fashion Magazine cover to cover!
All totaled (using the current exchange rate and some estimates), I came up with a value of $95.50 for the February 2014 Her Fashion Box. The box works out to be about $36USD (shipping is free), so I was pretty happy with it. The perfume, tanner, chapstick and magazine made the box for me. The rest was just a bonus!
