I have been hearing so many great things about NewBeauty TestTube that I needed to see what all the fuss was about myself so I went a headed and ordered a tube!
If you aren’t familiar, TestTube is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind sampling program that enables members the opportunity to try a variety of the latest breakthrough beauty products before investing in them, and then share their feedback about the products. Six times a year, for just $29.95 (plus shipping and handling), subscribers receive a TestTube filled with deluxe and full-size products from the hottest beauty brands. Members will also receive a subscription to NewBeauty magazine, delivered quarterly. I should note that this is different than QVC New Beauty Test Tube, which is a quarterly subscription.
NewBeauty TestTube ships via USPS. Most subscribers received their March box a week or two ago, but since I am a new subscriber I think mine took a bit longer. I signed up on the 4th of March which is probably about when the first batch of boxes went out? I never got a tracking notification (I don’t believe they send them) and was kind of starting to wonder where this was when it appeared in my mailbox.
I had seen some TestTubes (which is why I wanted one), but I never noticed how cute the packaging was until I opened mine up. Even the inside of the box was a fun print.
NewBeauty TestTube includes both a tube full of goodies and a little Beauty To Go Travel Pouch. I knew right away I was going to love this.
NewBeauty TestTube includes a fabulous information booklet which gives you product pictures, descriptions, how to use advice and more. It also tells you were you can buy the products and gives you some background on the company. Here is what was included in the March 2014 NewBeauty TestTube:
~It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Lite ($9.50): This is a leave-in conditioner that helps to repair, restore and revive tangled and frizzy locks without weighing them down. I don’t so much have fizzy hair, as much as tangled hair. If I don’t wash my hair, but get it wet, it’s a mess. This should help.
~GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment ($19): This mask is suppose to leave skin tighter, softer and more radiant in just 10 minutes. I am trying to stick with one product at a time so I can tell what’s working and what’s not, but I really want to try this, so I think B and I will use this over the weekend.
~Philosophy Hope in a Jar ($12): Every time I have tried Hope in a Jar I have liked it, but I don’t know that I have ever used it long enough to be wowed by it. I always hear such amazing things, so maybe I need to give it a real go?
~Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush ($26): The color is great and I love tarte things, but I am not totally sure I need another blush, so I will be passing this along to a friend.
~Bioxidea Miracle 48 Excellence Diamond & Gold ($24.67): My goodness is this seriously a $25 mask? I am almost scared to use it! I did read that you can use the mask in a bath. Just throw it in and wait until it dissipates! Who knew? This is supposed to help with rosacea and other skin issues, so I may try this in the bathtub (even though I hate baths).
~GrandLash-MD Grande Mascara (~$4): Unlike the full sized mascaras I have received lately that I am saving for “later”, I opened this one right up. I really like how it lengthened and didn’t clump for me. If I needed a full sized mascara, I’d buy this.
~Simple Facial Wipes ($1.68): I love facial wipes and think these are awesome. Sometimes I am just too tired to go through the entire face washing process. These make me feel less guilty about skipping that.
~Professional Solutions Triple Action Vitamin C Antioxidant ($40): I was checking out some of the spoilers for this box and this was one of the items I hoped that I received! It’s supposed to promote younger looking skin by boosting collagen and improving the texture and tone of skin. All those things sound great! And in a month, I hope that they all come true!
~YBF Perfect Prep Face Primer ($10.37): I don’t always use a primer (well sometimes I just use a tinted primer), but I don’t mind trying one out! I really need to step up my daily makeup routine. This winter has taken a toll on my skin and something like this would likely help it look not so rough.
NewBeauty TestTube also includes a “Beauty To Go” bag with extra products and samples that aren’t listed on the information card. Not all subscribers get the same items, but every tube does have this extra bag of goodies!
~Phyto Instant Hydrating Conditioner ($9.33): Ohh, I am excited about this one. I have seen this brand around and have wanted to try it. I am going to use it on my hair while when it needs a boost during the day. I tested it really quickly and it smells amazing!
~NeoStrata Cellular Restoration ($22.57): This is another product that is suppose to boost collagen and reduce wrinkles. I have never heard of it, but if it can help with wrinkles, I’m in.
~Philosophy Love Sweet Love ($1.50): I haven’t purchased a philosophy 3-in-1 in ages and kind of miss them. I plan on throwing this in my travel bag and know I will enjoy it.
~Rodial StemCell Super-Food Facial Oil (Sample): Not a big enough sample to really be able to test and see if it works for your skin, but since it’s an extra it’s no big deal.
All totaled I came up with a value of $180.62 for March 2014 NewBeauty TestTube. How insane is that? The tube itself was only $38.90 (I had a one time only 30% off code which is also what tempted me to order so I only paid $30) and I am in love. I am already looking forward to the May tube!
