~The biggest excitement of my weekend by far was the Oscars last night! I didn’t think there were too many huge misses with the dresses, but I was not loving that green dress on Elsa Pataky. She’s so gorgeous, but, that’d just be a no. I did LOVE Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o, Emma Watson, Jessica Biel and Oliva Wilde though. Even Lady Gaga looked good! And I will for sure be reading my US Weekly and People this week to see what they thought of the dresses ;).
~I thought Ellen did awesome (she can’t do much wrong with me) and totally loved the Oscar selfie. I could have done without all that Samsung product placement, but whatever. In general I thought this years show was great. It moved along nicely and never was I bored, which is important at Awards shows! Oh and I loved Matthew McConaughey’s speech. So much. So so much. They should give him an award every year just so we can listen to his fabulous speeches.
~Okay no more Oscars, back to real life! B has every other Monday off and sadly this is not one of those weeks, so it’s just a normal day around here. As I reported yesterday, WB’s teething seems to be a bit better and L is totally over his illness. This week will consist of catching up on pretty much everything that hasn’t happened around here lately. Errands, a full grocery shopping trip, a Target run, the bank, the mall, the dry cleaners, the post office, you know, all that fun stuff.
~Until yesterday, I think the last time WB had seen B was maybe on Tuesday? B’s school schedule + WB’s sleeping schedule + National Guard weekends are rough. He was SO excited to see him last night when he got home and couldn’t wait to share his snack with him. #socute.
~It should be a fun week around here subscription box wise though. I am expecting Stitch Fix, Elizabeth & Clarke, Julep, Zoobean and Lily & Eve, plus hopefully a Fancy Box of some sort. Plus I still have an assortment of boxes I am behind on for February, so there will be lots going on around here.
~Everyone has been posting about it, but just in case you haven’t heard, Target is offering a Beauty Box for $5. It includes TONI&GUY Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray, L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo, COVERGIRL Smoochies Sizzle Gloss and Jergens BB Cream Light. I haven’t ordered yet, but I might. They used to send these boxes out free and I still wish they were free I guess. LOL!! It is a great deal though.
~If you missed any of this weekends posts and just want some of the highlights, check out my fabulous March Wantable Intimates Box, February’s SocialBliss Style Box (which includes a Giveaway) and Sunday Sentiments. And then of course, everything else when you get a minute ;).
That’s it for now, but what’s up for your Monday? What subscription boxes are you expecting this week?
