Lip Factory Inc, who kindly sent me this box to review, is an exclusive, affordable (it’s $22/month), makeup subscription service. Most months, like this month, Lip Factory sends a mixture of cosmetic products, but once a quarter they send an “All About the Lips” box.  The last one was in March and I am guessing the next would be in June.

The Box

Lip Factory ships via USPS First Class Mail and took just a few days to arrive.  I believe that Lip Factory ships their boxes in two batches.  Mine went out in the first batch and I believe the second batch ships a bit later in the month. At least that’s how I understand it from reading MUT. They are my go to source!

First Look

I couldn’t tell too much from the first look.  I recognized a few brands, but other then that I didn’t know what the products actually where.  It looked nice and full though, so we were off to a good start.

The Information Card

The April 2014 Lip Factory theme was “Welcome Spring” and included the following items:

~OFRA Lipstick (Royalty) ($13): Totally an item for my sister-in-law, the lipstick lover.  I need to sort through my stash and put together a box for her.  We were just talking about it at Easter dinner.  I was like what do you will with it all?  And she’s like put it on my lips duh?

~Color Club Polish ($8): Love this brand and this color is fabulous as well.  I tend to grab an aqua or a pink when I do my toe nails, so I am happy.

~NYX Butter Gloss ($5): Love the smell, love the color, I love it all.  I also love the price.  I want to find more of these.

~Be A Bombshell Eye Crayon (Fetish) ($14): My crayon came a little smushed, but it’s still totally usable.  Since it’s a review box I am not going to contact them for a replacement, but I know that they totally would if I did.  They have great customer service.  Anyway, I think eye crayons are super fun and while the color isn’t exactly me, something about it being in a crayon form makes it much more attractive to me.

~Be a Bombshell Shadow (Divine) ($14): Divine is a pale blue with shimmer shadow.  Not too crazy, but totally something different.

~Jesse’s Girl Kohl Eyeliner (Grape Expectations) ($1.99): I don’t love eyeliner, but I am still totally fascinated by the built in liner on these products.  So genius.  Why doesn’t every pencil liner have this?

All totaled I came up with a value of $55.99 for the April 2014 Lip Factory box and was once again an amazing value considering that the box itself is only $22/month ($26 if you are in Canada / $32 for International subscribers)!

Enjoyed most of this box! However, my eye crayon was also smushed. It was jammed up into the lid, so when I pulled off the cap, the crayon pulled entirely out of the base. It’s completely stuck in the cap now. Not sure how to use it the way it is, so I emailed Lip Factory for a replacement. They responded promptly, requesting a photo. I’m fine with this…just need to get home from work to take a pic. My Ofra lipstick is hot pink #201 (joining my two hot pink lip colors from the Feb. box), but I’ll get around to using it someday. My eye pencil is dark brown, which I’m pleased with.

I hope they get your replacement out quickly!

      Hi,

You can use an angle makeup brush if you want to use it as a liner, or just a regular eye shadow brush. Dip the brush into the lid to get some of the stuff onto the brush. It’s actually better to use it this way as you can really control where to put it and how much.

        Thank you for the tips!

I got different shades in everything but the eye crayon – this was a nude/brown box for me and I loved it!

I REALLY want to try Lip Factory, but I just cannot force myself to pay that price yet 🙁 Maybe I will wait for a coupon…do they EVER have coupon codes?

      I have never seen one!
