April 2014 Q BOX

Q Box, who sent me this box to review, sends 5-7 hand-selected items in beauty, fashion, accessories, home from mainly Japanese and Korean brands. Boxes are $24.95/month and promise to include full sized products with a value of $60+.

The Box

Q Box ships from Canada and took just over a week to arrive to me.  Monthly boxes are shipped by the 15th of the month.

First Look

I couldn’t tell too much from the first look!  Q Box always includes a piece of jewelry, but other than that it’s anyone’s guess what could be included!

The Information Card

The April Q Box didn’t have a theme (it seems that sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t) and included the following items:

~Silver Overlapping Leaves Necklace: I could probably do without the monthly pieces of jewelry that they include.  It’s not that I dislike this, it’s just that I don’t know where I would wear it.  Unless they did bracelets every month.  That I would love!

~Bijou Brigitte Gold Skull Print Scarf: It was so hard to get a good picture of this, but the scarf has gold skulls printed on it!  Very subtle, but I really like it because you just see a hint of gold and don’t realize the pattern until you get closer.

~Paddington Bear Picnic Mat w/ Matching Storage Bag: Totally adorable and I think it’ll be perfect for little pretend picnics for WB and his “friends”.

~Too Cool for School Eye Shadow Palette: I think there different variations of this palette sent out, but I am really happy with the shades I received.  I have so many neutral palettes and although I love them, it’s fun to get some pinks and purples instead of browns!

~Coffeex Spring Bloom Greeting Cards Pack: I believe that this exact set came in the Special Edition Spring Box as well. I was happy with them then and I am happy now.  I can  always use little note cards.

~Hand Embroidered Tissue Box Cover: I am not really sure what I will do with this.  I don’t have boxes of tissues around the house and if I did, the boxes are so cute these days I probably wouldn’t need to hide it.  I will likely end up donating these.

~Pocky Sticks: I love that they always include a snack or two in their boxes.  Sometimes they are fabulous (like these) and sometimes they are just fabulous to try ;).

I couldn’t find prices on the majority of these items so I didn’t bother to do a price breakdown on this box.  This wasn’t my favorite Q Box ever (how can you compete with the month that included washi tape?), but it’s always fun to see what they include.

The May Q Box (they sell out quickly) is already sold out, but if you are interested in signing up for June or just want to learn more, click here.  And don’t forget to use the code “ENJOY1ST” to save 10% off your first box!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
