OMG, my May 2014 ipsy bag is here! It’s been a blah rainy day here (I am seriously considering building an Ark) and this was a great surprise.
If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. And if I am understanding their Facebook post correctly, right now for a limited time you can skip the waitlist! Eeek!
ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail and took a record setting 4 days to arrive this month. I was amazed. Some months it has taken two weeks to get to me. To say I was happy would be an understatement.
The May 2014 ipsy My Glam Bag theme is “Fresh Picks” and is all about a month of crisp air, vibrant flowers and a fresh selection of beauty products. There were 26 different items that could have arrived in your ipsy bag this month and each subscriber received five of them I believe. Here is what I received this month:
~Hang Ten Classic Sport SPF50 Sunscreen ($1.62): I am not overly excited by this, but I can always use sunscreen and will throw this in my bag for an emergency.
~Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo ($3.92): Love these colors! I actually don’t think Pacific makes anything I don’t like! I love Pacifica products and I am always happy to get them in a box.
~Revlon ColorBurst™ Matte Balm in Elusive ($8.99): Not totally in love with the color, but I do like lip crayons so I am torn on this one. I may end up passing it along to a friend who can rock this shade better than I can.
~Bare Foot Spa Professional Exfoliating Polish ($1.14): Love this sample and I am so glad they included more than one packet. My feet are feeling softer than ever with the LUSH stuff I have been using, but I’m always happy to try new stuff.
~Pur~lisse pur~moist hydra balance moisturizer ($16.18): When I first saw my Glam Bag I thought this was a lip balm and was SO excited about it. Once it realized that it was a moisturizer I was less excited. But still, I will throw it in my travel bag so it will come in handy.
~ipsy Fresh Picks Bag ($2): I am loving the bag this month! It’s perfect for Spring and is probably one of my favorite ones from them.
All totaled I came up with a value of $33.85 for my May 2014 ipsy MyGlam Bag! Totally not my favorite month (but might have been had it had a Pur~lisse lip balm), but as always, it was worth the $10.
