OMG, my May 2014 ipsy bag is here! It’s been a blah rainy day here (I am seriously considering building an Ark) and this was a great surprise.

If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. And if I am understanding their Facebook post correctly, right now for a limited time you can skip the waitlist! Eeek!

The Bag

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail and took a record setting 4 days to arrive this month. I was amazed. Some months it has taken two weeks to get to me. To say I was happy would be an understatement.

The Information Card

The May 2014 ipsy My Glam Bag theme is “Fresh Picks” and is all about a month of crisp air, vibrant flowers and a fresh selection of beauty products. There were 26 different items that could have arrived in your ipsy bag this month and each subscriber received five of them I believe. Here is what I received this month:

~Hang Ten Classic Sport SPF50 Sunscreen ($1.62): I am not overly excited by this, but I can always use sunscreen and will throw this in my bag for an emergency.

~Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo ($3.92): Love these colors!  I actually don’t think Pacific makes anything I don’t like!  I love Pacifica products and I am always happy to get them in a box.

~Revlon ColorBurst™ Matte Balm in Elusive ($8.99): Not totally in love with the color, but I do like lip crayons so I am torn on this one.  I may end up passing it along to a friend who can rock this shade better than I can.

~Bare Foot Spa Professional Exfoliating Polish ($1.14): Love this sample and I am so glad they included more than one packet.  My feet are feeling softer than ever with the LUSH stuff I have been using, but I’m always happy to try new stuff.

~Pur~lisse pur~moist hydra balance moisturizer ($16.18):  When I first saw my Glam Bag I thought this was a lip balm and was SO excited about it.  Once it realized that it was a moisturizer I was less excited.  But still, I will throw it in my travel bag so it will come in handy.

~ipsy Fresh Picks Bag ($2): I am loving the bag this month!  It’s perfect for Spring and is probably one of my favorite ones from them.

All totaled I came up with a value of $33.85 for my May 2014 ipsy MyGlam Bag!  Totally not my favorite month (but might have been had it had a Pur~lisse lip balm), but as always, it was worth the $10.

Did you get this month’s ipsy bag? What variations did you get? And what’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing or interested in learning more, click here.  And don’t forget, right now the waiting list is open, so it’s a great time to join.

I’d probably subscribe to Ipsy if they’d include another product in place of a new bag every month.

    1. Jennifer

      That would be cool.

Can you send the rain to CA, it is like 95 to 100 degree’s outside and way to many fire’s already. Thanks to the drought. Go play in the rain with the boys… puddle jumps lol

    1. Jennifer

I wish I could! I am seeing all those fires on the news. So so scary! Be safe out there!

    1. Jennifer

I would have been so so happy with the lap balm.

  3. Debbie Ryan

I would have loved everything in this box but can’t get off the wait list. I don’t do Facebook. Can you post my link. http://www.ipsy.com/r/apyd} I love your blog and I love mail.

I got the same exact bag this month (and also love the bag itself!). Is it wrong I’m most excited about the exfoliating feet things? I’m also torn on the color of the lip crayon.

    1. Jennifer

I don’t think that is wrong! Everyone needs soft feet for summer. If it ever comes anyway. Did you get any snow this week? I swear, I wouldn’t even be surprised if it snowed again here.

I love the pacifica eye shadow i got… its a purple color. I love the bag too. I like that its more flexible than the other ones.

    1. Jennifer

Same! I love the canvas. I don’t recall every getting an ipsy bag like this.

I also received the moisturizer, the sunscreen, and the eyeshadow. I got a great organic hair oil and a honey mask! Ipsy is the one subscription that I will always keep; it’s such a great value.

    1. Jennifer

That sounds like a good one! How is the mask??

      1. Theresa H

The mask is something I’m considering buying the full size for. It smells like honey…because it is a honey mask lol…and it is very refreshing! Just out of curiosity, have you ever gotten the pur~lisse lip balm before? Did you like it?

        1. megan

The mask is great but the full size is super dinky. I was bummed.

  7. Michelle

I love that Revlon lip crayon. They are my go-to lip product these days. I didn’t get one in my bag, but I already have that colour. It’s not quite as pink on as it appears. I really like it.

    1. Jennifer

I always hate opening it and then ending up hating it. I don’t want to waste it!

  8. Katie

I really wanted that lip crayon, but since it’s Revlon I should probably stop complaining and just go buy one! Had a big miss this month, a super smelly hair oil. Just not the scent for me and to be honest the Frizz Ease oil elixir I got in my Birchbox finds works better. Wasn’t super crazy about this month because it seemed more hair/skin care and I added ipsy for makeup. Hope this is not a new trend for them.

    1. Jennifer

This month’s ipsy did seem to be a lot less makeup than normal! Maybe next month it will switch back?

  9. Karsen

Yah I got the same box, not too happy except the feet things. The lip thing I passed on.
