You know the drill, I am stealing Jen’s Sunday Sentiments button and idea and making it mine tonight!
~I love Sundays! They are always just so relaxing, but at the same time productive. We ran errands today, played outside, cleaned the garage, etc. It could have been a tad warmer out, but I’ll take what I can get. We went to Home Depot in search of a mailbox (remember how AT&T hit ours last winter), but we didn’t find any we liked so we came home with a chiminea instead. LOL! Close enough!
~While at Home Depot we also had a brief discussion about ripped out the carpet in the living room (it’s so gross) and installing hardwood or tile that looks like hardwood. Is this a doable DIY project? Or will we (B) regret this idea?
~My Tieks came yesterday! And so far so good! I am still breaking them in, but they are certainly adorable and seem to be very very well made. They come with a little black pouch so you can easily fold them up and throw them in your bag. They also have a bigger fold out bag with handles that you can store your heels in! I kind of already want another pair. Wantable is having a giveaway for two pairs and a Tory Burch bag and I want to win that like you wouldn’t even believe! LOL!
~I have been getting some questions about ebates, so I thought I’d do another little explanation. It’s a cash back website. You go there before you want to buy something online and do a search to see if they offer cash back at the store you want to shop at. Cash back can range from like 1%- 20% or more depending on the store. If they do, you click the link to the store on the ebates site and a tracking ticket will be automatically generated and you will be directed to the store you want to shop at. You buy whatever like normal and in a few days you will see a deposit into your ebates account for a percentage of your purchase. You get paid by check or paypal from ebates quarterly! They pay you to shop! It is NOT a scam or anything shady. I swear. I have been using ebates since 2008 and I have saved a fortune!
~I have been working on getting caught up on reviews and some other blog stuff, so I will be getting the Subscription Box List updated with new additions a bit later this week. I do have the Reviews tab all updated and will have a Newsletter coming out tomorrow!
~Has anyone tried the “FarmHouse Fresh Goods” line? I saw a picture of it on Erin Andrews Instagram and have been hearing nothing but fabulous things about the Whoopie! Shea Butter Hand Cream. I am thinking about picking that, the Whoopie candle and something else (so I am get free shipping) up to test out, but I was curious if anyone here had tried it?
~I am plotting my next giveaway and have a few ideas, but nothing is set in stone yet. I am thinking a favorite things one for May / June but I want to hear your thoughts. Should I do subscription box (es)? Or a random collection of my favorite things? Or some sort of themed giveaway (spa, makeup, etc.)? Let me know!

We put wood laminate in ourselves and it’s totally doable as a DIY. And it’s so much easier to clean with kids than carpet.
Did it take long?
It took us a weekend to do it. Our room is a rectangle – not too many strange cuts.
Question about ebates…..does it work when you have reoccurring purchases? ie Glossybox.
You only get it the first time you click through to buy something.
We want to pull up our carpet too it is just nasty. I hate the hardness of wood and tile but I don’t really want to get more carpet since it will just get nasty again. I know M can do it but it will take time which of course we never have enough of 🙁
I want a chiminea or a firepit or something like that. Its one of those things on my list that I just haven’t gotten to yet but it will happen.

Yeah, I am not replacing this carpet in the living room with more carpet. It just gets too beat up!
We totally need to do a trade. LOL you guys help with our floor and we can help with yours. We have a table saw to do the cutting. My neighbors have all borrowed it when doing theirs 😉 I loved the carpet when the boys were little so I wasn’t always down on the hard floor but now its just nasty and needs to go.

these tieks, never heard of them before, is there something special about them to cost that amount? 🙂 and do they come in other colors? I feel old for these colors :DD

I’ve never heard of Tieks but I clicked on the link out of curiosity and was alarmed at the price tag. I thought for sure those things would only be $10. Thank the lord I don’t wear ballet shoes.

Are the tieks tts? Sometimes I have to go up a half size in flats if they are too narrow.
They don’t have half sizes. So if you are an 8.5 they say go for an 8.
My husband and I have been discussing getting rid of our downstairs carpet and getting dark espresso hardwood floors installed. I think he came up with an estimate of $5,500! I don’t think my husband can do it as a weekend project…we might have to have a team come install them.
Ahh, I don’t want to pay that much!!! Are you doing real wood or a laminate or what are you thinking?

I absolutely love Farmhouse Fresh. I’ve tried their moisturizers (including the Whoopie Cream. . which smells incredible and is so rich), One fine Day face scrub, and 3 clay masks (a pumpkin, yogurt, and chocolate). All of them work great and the yogurt mask (pajama party) calms my skin like nothing else. I don’t balk at the price because everything is quality and works as stated, plus smells so good. A real treat!
Where do you get it around you? I was looking on their site and it seems like a spa is my best bet? Or just order online?
There are a few spas in Oregon that sell it, but I’ve also ordered a few things off Amazon. The whoopee cream in a jar lasted me months, it’s just that rich. 🙂
When I was in Kohler, WI (p.s. love that place!) I saw the Farm House Fresh line. Smells great and a lovely hand cream! I’ve want a pair of Tieks soooooo bad, but I just bought a pair of Tory Burch flats on vacation. Are they really comfortable?
