~Instead of going to bed at my normal time (which is usually around 2am – sometimes later), I went to bed at midnight and woke up feeling awesome. I am going to have to try to keep this up! Β And I need to go outside more. Β Just in case next winter is like this one, I feel like I need to soak it all in while I can.
~L has about two weeks left of school and I am counting down the days. Β I feel like this momΒ and it seems all the other moms I talk to do as well. Β School is hard work and we aren’t even the ones that go. Β I have, however, ordered L’s teacher end of school gift, so I am feeling pretty good about that! Β I got her an Erin Condren Teacher’s Lesson Planner which I am hoping she loves and doesn’t think is lame!
~I’ve been getting e-mails about how you guys aren’t getting my daily RSS feed e-mail, so I switched the service I use. It will look a little different than normal, but hopefully you’ll actually get these. And if you haven’t signed up yet and want to, you can do so here. Β The e-mail goes out at 1pm EST and includes all of my blog posts from the last 24 hours.
~Sort of related, but I realized that ROASM is almost to 5,000 likes on Facebook. Β This means something only to me because I am excited about it, but it also means that I will do another giveaway when I get there! Β Any suggestions? Β I am totally down for more TieksΒ since that giveaway seems to be popular or a fun bag or something new I haven’t done before. Β But I want ideas!
~I should take a picture of this for you, but I am pretty sure you will get the idea without it. Β I have two leather chairs in a little sitting area in my house near a window. Β The side of the chairs closest to the window are getting faded. Β Well, they are getting faded, they are faded. Β Is there anything I can do about this? Β Clearly it’s too late to protect them before it happened but there has to be a way to make it better now right? Β Please say yes!!!!
~I still have a few subscription boxes I am expecting this week including Wantable, Sudsy BoxΒ andΒ Stitch Fix. Β Not too many, but enough to keep my mailbox fun! Are you expecting any packages this week?

It depends on how bad the leather is faded and the type of leather. A lot of couches can be touched up using a vegetable-based saddle soap, but that can stain some types of leather. If it’s beyond where it needs just a cleaning, you might look into the cost of having it redyed or restored by a leather specialist. There are some DIY steps you can do but they are lengthy.

I have received your feeds just fine. maybe they are getting stuck in their junk mail?
I get them okay too but some people weren’t. I guess there is a new way the e-mail services are treating those and some are rejecting it as spam before it even hits your spam box?
Could you swap the chairs with each other? That way the new sides will get faded and then they’ll match! I use a leather conditioner on our couches once in awhile and it makes them look like new.
I have thought of that. But only one side of one of the chairs gets faded by the way the sun hits. It’s so weird!
I am a teacher and I LOVE my Erin Condren teacher planner! I would be ecstatic if a parent bought that for me. What a great gift!

Yay! My first link up with you! It’s funny bc I wrote my Thursday thoughts before I even read what you wrote and I wrote about not knowing how mommy bloggers do it! I have two toddlers and it’s almost impossible to work on my site! Now I know..you stay up until 2am! Lol I go to bed at midnight and I’m exhausted! Lol

Have you thought about doing a blog post on a review of Tieks? They look cool, but for the price tag, I am confused about what makes them so special. Everyone says they are amazing, but don’t go in depth as to why they are amazing. Could you possibly do a review? Would love to hear your thoughts on them.
I don’t know that I really would be able to explain it. I don’t know that there isn’t any one “thing” that makes them amazing. The leather is a really great quality, they come in a bunch of fun colors and they fold up! Other than that I don’t even know???

That planner is an awesome gift!! I am already stressing about teacher gifts and my daughter is only 1. I would totally love more Tieks giveaways, of course! π But obviously, I will keep reading with giveaways or not! Have you heard of Sesame Gifts? You could always build your own box with them and give some away. I’m not sure how it works, but a fashion blogger I follow did it for Christmas.

We have the same problem with furniture fading from the sun. We are about to get our windows tinted so at least the damage will stop.
