Loot Crate (who kindly sent me this box to review) is a monthly subscription box full of hand-picked, awesome geek and gamer products. Each month, for less than $20, you’ll receive 6-8 products which are guaranteed to have a value of $30 or more.

The Box

Loot Crate ships via USPS First Class Mail and took just two days to arrive. And what’s better is that I received the tracking for it yesterday and it arrived yesterday. So by the time they sent the tracking it was already out for delivery!

First Look

I had heard what the theme for this box would be and I *thought* I that meant I knew what would be in the box, but you just never know.  I was happy when I opened up the box and realized it was exactly what I had been hoping for!

The Information Card

The June 2014 Loot Crate theme was “Transform” and included the following items:

~Marty McPrime Shirt by Nathan Davis & The Hundreds ($26.95): L pretty much wishes this shirt fit him so he could steal it.  He has no idea who Marty McFly is or what that DeLorean does, but he is all abut Transformers.  He was also talking about time travel the other day and how cool it would be if we could do that.  It would be cool wouldn’t it?

~Transformers Blind Box by Hasbro & The Loyal Subjects ($12.99): L and I are complete suckers for blind box items.  It’s a grab bag in a grab bag!  I so wanted to open mine of this picture, but I decided to let L open it on his own.  He quickly took it away and I didn’t get to snap a picture, but we got Grimlock.  I myself am not familiar with him, but he does have two weapons, so L is over the moon about it!

~Transformers Hex Bugs by Hasbro & First Innovation Labs ($7.99): As if a Hex Bug wasn’t cool enough now we have a Transformers one!  While they are super annoying when they go under my fridge or stove, even I have to admit it’s fun to have a dozen of these things crawling around on the floor!

~MLG Terry Cloth Wristband (~$3): I didn’t know what MLG was until I read the information card, but it appears that they are the #1 online broadcast network for professional level gaming.  I had no idea such a thing existed.  I mean I knew there were professional gamers, but I didn’t know that I could watch them compete online.

~MLG Starter Kit, Warheads Candy & Transformers Sticker Set (~$4): As you can probably guess, the candy and the transformers sticker were a big hit with L!  Actually, the idea of the candy was more of a hit than the actual candy, but I got a kick out of the face he made when he tried it!

All totaled I came up with a value of $54.93 for the June 2014 Loot Crate – Transform box.  I think this was one of our favorite Loot Crates‘ to date.  L is really into Transformers right now so it fit perfect.  The only thing that could have been better for him would have been an all Minecraft themed box!  Or a Terreria box.  He loves that game too.
