May 2014 Her Fashion Box

The arrival of last of my May 2014 Her Fashion Box marks the last of my May subscription boxes to arrive.

If you aren’t familiar, Her Fashion Box (which is based in Australia) sends you one on-trend fashion accessory tailored to your style profile (you can select from Classic, Feminine or Trendy – which I selected), as well as a number of carefully selected beauty products. In addition, boxes will include products, samples or offers from premium lifestyle brands that could include things such as gorgeous stationery, luxury candles, beauty or spa services, hair and make-up tools, gourmet food or wine tasters, cute home wares, online products, entertainment and more.

The Box

Her Fashion Box ships directly from Australia and took exactly a week to arrive.  This is the fourth (?) box I have received from them and each of them have been delayed.  They didn’t send out an e-mail noting why this one would be delayed, but based on previous months delays I expected it.

First Look

I wasn’t sure exactly what to think of the first look, but I didn’t dislike it.  I want to investigate more and see what everything was.  Her Fashion Box doesn’t have an information card, but as always, I wish it did have one because I wasn’t sure what everything was this month!  Here is what the May 2014 Her Fashion Box included:

~Nicola Finetti Pouch: I love this.  I am not familiar with this Australian designer , but I think this pouch is fabulous.  The print is fun and and I will for sure use this in my purse or beach bag.

~label.m Powder Spray (Pink):  Hmm, maybe I am not as trendy as I thought I was.  LOL.  This is a washable spray that turns your hair pink. You can layer it to make it more bold or just spray lightly for a little pink.  I have no idea where / when I will use this.  Maybe on crazy hair day at school for L?  I think the “Classic” box subscribers got a dry shampoo which would have been much more me.

~House of Holland Nails: I doubt that I will use the fake nail part of this, but I totally can see myself using the letters that are included!

~Clova Body Scrub + Bath Sprinkles: I have been thinking about taking a bath almost every night since B went out of town.  I never take baths, but it just sounds so relaxing. Maybe this will inspire me to do it.

~Bioderma Sebium & Crealine: One of these leaked during shipping and is now only about 1/2 full.  I’ll probably just toss that one and use the other cleanser.

~Ear Cuff: My best guess is that this is an ear cuff, but I totally could be wrong?  Obviously not my thing, but I am guessing I can trade this to someone who would love it.

~Gold Cuff Bracelet: I need to clean some of the paper that is stuck on here from the cleanser leaking and the magazine sticking to it, but I think it should be fine.  This is another item that I am not totally sure what to do with, but I want to wear it!

~Her Fashion Magazine: Each Her Fashion Box comes with a Her Fashion Magazine that always has one of the items in this month’s box on the cover.  It took me a few months to realize it, but I think it’s cool.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but I did like it better than the last few I have gotten from them. I  am going to take a little break from Her Fashion Box though, check out the boxes for a few months and see if they can get rid of the delays and then go from there.  I really really think this box has potential and I love getting the Australian brands and products.
