The Boodle Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of adorable accessories and beauty products that encourage girls of all ages (boxes are broken down into a 5-10 age group and a 11+ age group) to uncover new things and discover themselves in the process! This box is for the 11+ box, but don’t think it’s just for tweens / teens.  I know a lot of adults that subscribe for themselves and love it!

The Box

The Boodle Box ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just two days to arrive.  I have been getting my boxes a few days before the actual start of the month which is awesome.

I was crazy stalking my tracking for this box and just couldn’t wait to see what was inside.  It’s seriously becoming one of my favorite boxes.

The Information Card

The August 2014 The Boodle Box theme is “Summer Sweetness” and included the following items to make your summer even sweeter:

~Strawberry Sponge Curlers ($8.59): I thought these were mini bath sponges or something, but little curlers are even better!  These are just about the type of curlers I can handle for myself and think they are absolutely perfect for a little girl.

~Hard Candy Kaleyedescope Eye Shadow Duo in ‘Daydream’ ($6): This can be applied wet for a more dramatic look or dry for a lighter, more shimmery look. The colors are fun and could work together or separate.

~Naughty but Nice Cupcake Hand Cream ($9.99): Hands down this is the cutest hand cream ever.  I thought it was a little trinket holder at first glance and liked it, but when I found out it was a hand cream, it was all over.  I love it!!

~Cupcake Wipes by Good Earth Beauty ($2.75): Again, love these.  They are good for anything, anywhere.  I’ll be throwing them in my bag for for emergencies!

~Lily Fabric Keychain by Marinas Closet ($6) and Cupcake Key Cover by Gama Go ($1.25): Cute and cuter! I just switched up my keychain to one that came in a box earlier this month, but I may need to switch it up again!  And I can’t decide if I should put the key cover on my cottage key or my house key or one of the dozen other keys on my keychain that I cannot tell the difference between.

~Neon Beaded Bracelets with Rhinestones ($24.95): Oh I will totally wear these.  Totally.  Together, separate, whatever, I am wearing them.  They are awesome!

All totaled I came up with a value of $59.53 for the July 2014 The Boodle Box, which is double the cost of a one month subscription which is $29.99.  And as usual, I loved this box.  I love it for me NOW so I can only imagine how much I would have loved this when I was a younger.  Fabulous, fabulous box!

I’m always surprised I like this box as much as I do, but I think this month they hit it out of the park. This would make an awesome gift as is and I think would work for even a college age young lady.

This month’s Real Simple Magazine had those curlers in it, they are so flipping cute I may end up buying a set or three.

I LOVE subscription boxes so when my husband and I were each receiving one, I went on a search for one for my 11 year old daughter. I found several but most seemed too young for her. I signed up for one that was $21.50 a month and after one box I realized it wasn’t for us (her), so the search continued. I came across Boodle Box’s Facebook page and thought I’d give it a try. She just received her 2nd box and we couldn’t be happier! Each item goes along with the theme and are items she can/will use.

We are now one big happy, subscription box loving, family! 😀
