I did my review on our other July 2014 Citrus Lane box last week (that one was for a 4 year-old boy), but now it’s time for WB’s actual Citrus Lane box! He’s 27 month-old and I have his box set at his actual age.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane  is $29/month, but they have a coupon code “TAKE20OFF” which lets you pick up your first box for $9! And if you order an annual subscription the price drops down to $19/month.  I always opt for the longer subscription with them because it’s a way better deal.  In fact, I get two Citrus Lane boxes every month because it’s such a deal!

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and took the standard week to arrive.  I had an add-on with this box (a train book), so it actually shipped in a much larger box with the above box and the train book inside.

First Look

As usual with CL I didn’t know exactly which box WB would fall into this month.  I think he was pretty close to the cut-off this month for the next age group this month.

The Information Card

The July 2014 Citrus Lane box included the following Citrus Lane favorites for on the go:

~My First Camera from Plan Toys ($15): We got to pick between this camera and a Plan Toys cell phone for our box customization this month.  I opted for the camera since I knew that WB would know the different between my phone and his fake one.  I will admit I thought both options were a little young, but this camera is so cool.  It’s got a kaleidoscope lens which I didn’t realize!  L even loved it!

~Aqueduck Faucet Extender from Peachy ($12.99): I had no clue this existed, but wish I would have known about it years ago.  It’s SO hard for little ones to reach the faucet and the information card is right, it’s hard to hold them up!  I can’t figure out where I want to keep this.  At home, in my bag, up-north!  The options are endless.

~Silicone Placemat from Oogaa ($8.99): We actually already got one of these a while ago from Citrus Lane.  We’ve used it a few times, but I wouldn’t call it a favorite.  I know they say that it’s better than a plate, but WB seems to be able to pick this up too, so it wouldn’t stop him from throwing it.  He doesn’t do that anymore, but still.  I think I may end up using these to put down when the boys paint or draw to save the table.

~Mighty 4 Pouch from Plum Organics ($2): I am going to have to talk L into eating this or put it in a bowl for WB because there is no way I can talk him into eating any kind pouch other than an elmo one.  Perhaps if it’s in a bowl he might try it.

~Pur~Protect SPF30 from Pur~Lisse ($16.50): I am going to post a picture of all my pur~lisse samples from the past few months. I swear I have gotten at least 10. At least. Like I said, it’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just that I think I am set for life!

~Bonus Gift: In The Garden With Van Gogh Board Book ($6.99): This came with a little information card that said that the box included something we may have received in the past (which it did since we have gotten the Oogaa Placement before) so to enjoy this book as well.  I thought that was awesome that they included the book and I actually love the book itself!  Total score.

All totaled I came up with a value of $62.47 for the July 2014 Citrus Lane Box for a 27 month-old boy.  I was super impressed with this box and loved the camera, the faucet extender and the bonus book the most.  Everything else was just icing on the cake.  Great month!

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here and use coupon code “TAKE20OFF” to save $20 off your first box!  That would make your first Citrus Lane box $9 which is incredible!!! Or you could use the code “BOXSHOP30” to get $15 off your first box and $15 in shop credits!  You will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s totally an amazing way to try them out!
