~Ahh, Monday!  B’s off traveling this week, L’s up-north and WB and I are headed to IKEA in a few minutes to pick up the things we didn’t know we needed on our last trip.  We are mainly headed for shelves, but we’ll see what else falls in our cart.  Oh I feel like I need those spice racks everyone on Pinterest uses as bookshelves too right?

~Tonight is the night! Andi is picking her man!  I read the spoilers months ago, but I still can’t remember who she picked (I also still can’t remember my PIN number), so whatever happens tonight will be a surprise! Is anyone else watching?  Let’s talk about it on Facebook tonight okay?

Cannot wait
Cannot wait

~It’s going to be a super slow subscription box week around here. I am expecting The Homegrown Collective, Julep (I think), Wantable Makeup & Intimates and seriously, that might just be it. It will give me no excuses not to be ready for a garage sale!

~I think I am actually going to not only schedule a haircut this weekend, but a hair color at the salon as well!  I usually just dye it at home, but I really want to try an ombre again and that didn’t work when I tried it at home. So off to the salon it is! L is going to need a haircut too, so I’ll take him too.  I think he likes the salon better than I do.

~I think I have mentioned this before, but has anyone seen that chevron removable wallpaper stuff at Target?  They don’t just have chevron, they have lots of different patterns.  Is it easy to use?  Should I attempt this?  Have any of you tried it?  Give me the scoop. I would have to do it on a wall in the basement, a wall in our bedroom or in the half bathroom downstairs because most of the rest of our walls have judges panels on them. Not sure which room to pick or what pattern to try, but I feel like it’s calling my name when I go to Target and I can’t keep saying no.

It'd be like this, but cuter.
It’d be like this, but cuter.

~And finally, a few questions.  What book are you reading right now?  Me: Tempting Fate by Jane Green.  What shoes are you wearing today?  Me: Sanuk Flip-Flops.  What craft / sewing / whatever project do you have in the works right now?  Me: Nothing other than organizing the lego room and getting ready for a garage sale.

What’s up for your Monday? Any big plans this week?  And of course, what subscription boxes are you expecting?

What book are you reading right now? : “The Cellar” by Natasha Preston. (sooo good!) What shoes are you wearing today?: Steel toe work boots. (at work. so girly…lol) What craft / sewing / whatever project do you have in the works right now? Don’t know if it’s considered a “project” but i’m on day 1 of a 10 day juice detox. I’ve jumped off the healthly train at the beginning of summer and hoping this is the start of getting back on track.

    1. Jennifer

That’s a project! how is Day 1 going?? Good luck!

      1. Chrissy S.

So far so good. I made it to Day 2! thanks!

Why did you show me those racks. LOL We have those IKEA cubbies and just moved them so adding some to the ends would be awesome and possible. I also think they would be great in my bathroom. Hmmm I need to show that to M.
First day of school here so N is gone already and C and I have a day full of errands planned. Dropping off his preschool physical form, pick up my contacts that I ordered, meet M for lunch and run to Target. Should be happening 😉

    1. Jennifer

Should I even admit that I bought 10 of them today? You just never know where you will be needing them……….

      1. Jenny

LOL exactly and now you have them when you get sparked with an idea 😉

  3. Mom

You know we’re not coming home until Thursday afternoon right? I’ll be happy to watch WB on Friday if you schedule hair cuts then.

    1. Jennifer

LOL. I know! We might actually do a garage sale Friday. B is off.

  4. Sneaky Burrito

I’ve never seen that wallpaper before. I go to Target weekly but mostly just shop for laundry detergent, kitty litter, and a few grocery items. I try to stay out of other parts of the store for fear of spending too much money.

But…I was thinking just yesterday that my walls were boring. I’ve lived in my condo for 8 years and everything is still plain old white. Painting would be difficult (can’t move furniture easily, and my cats would end up with paint all over themselves). But something like this might work very well. So thanks for the idea!

Please get it and report back!!!!

    1. Jennifer

      I don’t think I have? I will have to take a look!

      1. cindy

they are huge and cover the entire drawer

-Not reading anything at the moment, but I have a pile waiting for me…
-I’m wearing some macrame shoes from Esprit that I bought accidentally right after I got a pair almost identical to them… oops. The problems with online shopping, you forget what’s en route!
-I haven’t actually started yet, but when I attempted to put away the laundry last night, I realized I had a pile of tops and no place to put them… SOOooo I have to get to work weeding out the closet. My coworkers’ daughters will all be very excited! Also the shoes are out of control, so I guess I’ll need to go through those too.

Enjoy your trip to the salon! Nothing more relaxing than getting your hair done. Hope you post a pic!

    1. Jennifer

I will try and remember to do a before and after!

  7. mary m

I need a trip to the salon as well. Probably won’t happen for a few more weeks due to our schedule…

I’m currently reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, wearing new balance trainers, and spent 1/2 of yesterday sorting kids clothes for give away/sell. I’m only about 1/2 done, and it’s overwhelming

    1. Jennifer

Oh I so hear you on the clothes thing. We have SO many. I don’t even know what to do about it. Overwhelming is an understatement.

    2. Hannah

That’s one of my favorite books!

    1. Jennifer

If I don’t get my house cleaned about soon I swear my husband is going to call Hoarders on me.

  8. Candace

Currently trying to read The One and Only, but having a difficult time getting into it. I think I’m on Chapter 3. I feel like I need to force myself to sit down and just read it already! I’m wearing my Sanuk flipflops, too. They are the most comfortable flip flops!
No projects here, but I need to be organizing! Any ideas you have for beauty products would be appreciated 🙂 This week I should be receiving a new fabletics outfit (60% off new outfit through Plum District), Julep and my first Glossybox (can’t wait!)
    Happy Monday!

    1. Jennifer

They are the best flip-flops aren’t they?? I just picked up some Yes to Coconuts shampoo and conditioner which I am super excited about!

      1. Candace

Just in case you haven’t seen it…there is a yes to carrots groupon for 50% off. I found it under St Louis. Don’t forget Ebates for the extra 6% back!

  9. Nicole A.

Love that wallpaper! I might need to test that out in some room of my home to be determined.

As for books, I am getting ready to start Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. I want it to be fall, so I figure if I start reading dark books, it will come. I’m wearing these forever 21 sandals I am obsessed with this summer and have in every color they offer. And for craft projects, I keep purchasing moccasins for my little, but I have decided they’re too expensive to keep buying a ton of pairs. I think with a pattern, they’re going to be super easy to make, so that’s mine and my sisters fall project to master. I see a lot of wasted fabric in my future. I’ll “master” it before I attemp to use leather.

    1. Jennifer

Test it out and report back!

Ohhh, I must see these when you are done!

  10. Blair

Any idea of the next Allure box?

    1. Jennifer

I haven’t heard anything yet. I think it will be in August.

  11. Lori

1.) The One and Only and The Happiness Project 2.) Lauren Conrad flip flops in aqua blue and 3.) just finished up with a garage sale so cleaning up after that and general organization around the house. We also just had a 4th birthday party for my son so trying to put old toys away for the baby to play with when he’s older to make room for the birthday loot! 😉

    1. Jennifer

How many days did you do the garage sale for??

      1. Lori

We did just Saturday and Sunday until about 1pm both days. We made about double what I was estimating so that was a nice bonus! I know a lot of people start out Friday evenings so if that works with your schedule it probably wouldn’t hurt.

        1. Jennifer

I was thinking all day Friday and then maybe just till noon on Saturday??

  12. PA Anna

Hope your week goes well. I feel an urge to go to Ikea.

Today I received August’s Kreation Krate. I can’t wait to start it. I also received June’s Homegrown Collective which I need to begin too. I did sign up Homegrown Collective’s Mystery box for July so I am guessing that will be shipping soon. The other boxes I am expecting this week is Twined and Escape Monthly Luxe which was delayed due to an item being stuck in customs.

Books: Save the Date by Mary Kay Andrews and Home Sweet Anywhere by Lynne Martin.
Shoes: tan GH Bass sandals that I bought when the outlet was having a sale.
Craft/Projects: June Homegrown Collective, August KreationKrate, reorganizing the master bedroom

    1. Jennifer

Ahh, I can’t wait to see what you get in your Escape Monthly Luxe box!

      1. PA Anna

        It’s coming on Wednesday!!!!

  13. Hannah

    1. Right now I’m reading ‘And the Mountains Echoed’ by Khaled Hosseini & ‘The Oracle Glass’ by Judith Merkle Riley
    2. Today I wore my gold flip flops
    3. I just moved on Tuesday, so my project is organizing. But it’s going very slowly because I absolutely hate unpacking

    1. Jennifer

      I also hate unpacking!

  14. Ashley C.

Book – Light on Snow by Anita Shreve. Not really my typical read, but everyone told me to give her a try … so we’re working on it.

I wonder how that wallpaper works, too! We have a rental, and would LOVE to do something to some of the walls around here, but just haven’t for obvious reasons. This would be a perfect solution, if it works decent. And I bet you could still use it with judges paneling — you would just have to cut it short!

    1. Jennifer

You should try it and report back…

  15. Eve

    – Reading Mind of Winter by Laura Kasischke
    – Wearing Born sandals
    – Organizing my garage and basement
    – I think I need those IKEA Bekv?m shelves

    1. Jennifer

I may or may not have bought 10 of the spice racks yesterday. I just couldn’t help myself…
