August 2014 Avalai

Avalai, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a subscription service that sends you the products you need, when you need it for your time of the month. They offer a variety of different package options and ship on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month so you are suggested to pick what works best with your cycle.

The Box

Avalai ships via USPS Priority Mail and arrived quite quickly.  I love Priority Mail and I think it gets it there the quickest!

First Look

Avalai is a new subscription service and I have never seen a box of theirs before, so I didn’t know what to expect.  Everything was packaged nicely and looked cute!

The Welcome Card

Avalai didn’t include a detailed information card about the contents of the box, but rather it was a general card about the company, it’s partners, etc.  Here is what the August 2014 Avalai box included:

~The Supplies: I opted for the “Medium Tampons Package” ($19/month) which included Always Ultra Thin Pads, Always Ultra Thin Overnight Pads, Regular Tampax Pearl Tampons, Always Panty Liners and a pack of sanitary wipes.  There is nothing I can do to make a picture of supplies look pretty!  I have so tried.

The Supplies
Cottonelle Wipes

~Product of the Month: Pink Chevron Pouch / Holder: Ohh, how cute is this?  It’s a little supply holder and makes carrying everything in your bag super discrete.  I am not sure if I am going to use this for supplies or something else, but I know I am going to use it!

~Snacks: I never realized this before subscription boxes, but if you have  your period, you must drink tea.  All the time of the month subscription boxes include it!  On TV the girls in the tampon commercials play volleyball on the beach and wear short shorts, but when they go home they must drink tea ;).

Snacks!

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but I thought it was really cute.  I liked the “Product of the Month” and think it’ll be fun to see what they will do every month!
