Foot Cardigan, who kindly sent me this package for review, is a monthly sock subscription service. Each month they send subscribers a pair of weird and crazy and unexpected socks. Current subscriptions are offered for Men or Women, but Foot Cardigan currently has a Kickstarter campaign for Whippersnappers, which is billed as the first kids’ sock subscription.

The Package

Foot Cardigan ships via USPS and took only a few days to arrive. Socks are generally shipped on the date that you first ordered your subscription. If your subscription began on the 2nd, your socks will ship around that time each month.

First Look

I received both a Men’s and a Women’s pair for review purposes.  So I have basically received both a Men’s and a Women’s subscription for August.  And one of them was even gift wrapped.

Foot Cardigan doesn’t include an information card, but it does have a packing slip with the names of the socks you received each month.  Of course I cannot currently find that sheet, so my names for the socks aren’t the official names. Here is what I received:

~The Men’s Pair (Top Hat): This pair is B’s and I love them!  I know he’ll wear these to work next week and I am so looking forward to it.  They are so cute and the perfect amount of fun (the pattern) and practical (the colors).

The Men’s Pair

~The Woman’s Pair (Motor Scooters): The women’s pair of socks I received had blue and aqua motor scooters on them!  They are wild, but I will totally wear them.  It’s been so flipping cold here lately that I have actually had to wear socks to sleep.  Crazy right?

The Woman’s Pair

Oh and like I mentioned, one of the pairs I received came gift wrapped.  They describe their gift wrapping as “horrible”, but I loved this. I don’t know who Lily is (one of the founder’s children maybe?), but I found this to be incredible cute!

Fun Wrapping Paper!

Since all of the socks have Foot Cardigan tags on them I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on this box.  These socks are high quality though so I feel like the $11/month price tag (and $2 of that is actually shipping) is right on target.

I really want a sock subscription but I feel like $11 for a pair of socks is a bit much.

I subscribed to them for close to a year. I love crazy socks plus this is a local company. My problem was that the majority of my socks sent were knee socks, they just kept sending tall socks. I finally cancelled. I wish I had an option to eliminate knee socks and I would have gladly Kept the sub. Regular crew socks ranged from gnomes, to X files Ufos, and French bulldogs
with mustaches. The knee socks, nautical strip and anchors, roses, hopscotch, Flowers and more flowers. Have to agree it was too expensive for a ton of knee socks I won’t wear.

I ordered socks on October 10, 2015 from Canada. Today its 23 Oct and haven’t received anything.
I see most customers are satisfied….but that is a little long if they ship same day.?

My husband though these would be a fun 60th birthday gift. After recieving the 4th pair of butt ugly socks they all went out in the trash. They are poorly wrapped in kids drawings. The footbed is poorly spec’ed. And the denier or knit is awful.

Got these as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves them. It did take a while for the first pair to get here, but they were here in plenty of time for Christmas. I thought the price was about right considering the different designs. I feel like the whole point of them is a novelty item you can actually use. I’ve showed them to different people and they love them. My wife looks forward to them every month. I’m looking to get me a subscription just because I need nice dress socks. Thanks Foot Cardigan
