Woof Crate, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly gourmet treats subscription box for dogs! EachWoof Crate will contain a variety of gourmet treats from a couple different local, artisanal bakeries. The treats will be an assortment of small, bite sized treats that will be perfect for smaller dogs or training, to more full-size treats that will satisfy your bigger dogs.

The Information Card

The information card included details about each of the snacks in the box along with a list of ingredients!  The August 2014 Woof Crate included the following items:

~Treats Unleashed – Mixed Bag: I am not sure who got which treat from this bag, but the furred loved them! They are baked from scratch and were still soft and perfect by the time they arrived.

~Po’s Bags of Bones Bakery – Peanut Butter Bacon Truffles: I am saving this one for a special special occasion because it looks to be the fanciest of the bunch.  It’s a bacon cookie which is then topped with a peanut butter glaze and even more crumbled bacon.  I feel like I might even like this!

~Woofables Bakery Bacon Twists: As soon as I figure out how to break this in half, it’s on!  The boys will totally love this!

~Woofables Bakery BBQ Ribs: I gave these to my brother’s dogs to enjoy because I wanted them to have treats too! The shelf life on these is 6 months, so they have some time to enjoy them.  The shelf life / care instructions are listed on the information card for each  of the items.

~Woofables Bakery Biscotti: My brothers dogs got the biscotti as well.  They are handmade treats that are dipped in flavored yogurt and have a 6-week shelf life.

~Woofables Bakery Cinna Swirls: These look so good that I almost want to try them myself!  This is another one that Baxter and Buddy haven’t tried yet, but they seriously look fantastic.

~Woofables Bakery Puptarts: I broke this in half and gave half to each of the furries.  I believe that both of them first licked the frosting (yogurt) off first and then worked on the actual tart itself.

~Woofables Bakery Truffles: These truffles (which are chocolate and peanut butter flavored) was the first treat the dogs tried and they were huge fans of it.  And yes, they seriously pose like that for me.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on the August Woof Crate box, but I can certainly tell you that we have spent more than $24.99 on this many treats at our local dog bakery!  This kind of dog could totally spoil any dog and I love that they use small local bakeries to get the treats from.

Please tell me the truffles really didn’t have chocolate in them since dogs aren’t supposed to eat chocolate??

If you enlarge the information card you can see the ingredients on each of the items. It has chocolate flavored carob and peanut butter flavored yogurt.

I live in a boring area that has no local dog bakery. They look good enough to eat.
