Candy German, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends boxes filled up with genuine German candies to subscribers around the world. Monthly boxes contain high quality, hand-picked German candies, such as chocolate, wine gums, bonbons, cookies, gingerbread, licorice, marzipan and more.
Candy German ships directly from Germany and generally takes about a week to arrive. I didn’t think that was bad at all considering the distance it has to travel.
Everything was packed very nicely and I wasn’t worried at all about anything being broken or damaged. Candy German doesn’t include an information card (I wish it did though), but it included the following items:
~Tekrum: I like the cookie part of these better than the filling. I couldn’t place it exactly, but I googled it and it turns out it’s a fruity blackcurrant. It’s not bad, just not amazing.
~Lindt Hello My Name is Strawberry Cheesecake: I *think* we have this flavor here in the US, but I have never had it. I’d certainly have them again though!
~Ritter Sport Schokowurfel: There are three different flavors of these and so far I have tried two of the three and like them both. I love that these are individually wrapped and they arrived in perfect condition – not melted at all.
~Haribo Susse Mause: You don’t need to speak German to know that these are gummy mice. L absolutely loved them and WB, well, not so much. He wanted one so badly and when he bit into it you’d think he was eating a real mouse. He spit it out so fast. Not a fan! More for L I guess!
~Hitschies Confetti Chewy Candies: Delicious! I love these. They are chewy fruity candies and are excellent!
~Merci Petits Coffee & Cream: Again, these are fabulous. They are coffee flavored and just amazing. I don’t think the States has enough in the way of coffee candies.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box because not everything included is easily available in the States. And without taking shipping costs into account it just wouldn’t be a fair comparison. I thought this was a very fun box and totally loved trying all these goodies!
