September 2014 Nerd Block Jr.

Nerd Block Jr. is a monthly surprise box for kids! It’s is specifically designed for children (you can opt for a Boys Block or a Girls Block) aged 6-11 and is filled with toys and games just for them.  They also offer an adult Nerd Block for $29.49/month (that includes shipping) and a Horror Block which is filled with “gruesome horror toys”. This Block is a Boys one for L, who is 6.

The Box

Nerd Block ships from Canada and took about a week to arrive to me.

First Look

I’d seen some spoilers for the Adult Nerd Block, but I hadn’t located any for the Boys box yet. As soon as I opened this I knew L would be happy with it.

Customs Label

Nerd Block Jr. doesn’t include an information card, however, they do have a list of all of the items on the customs form on the front of the boxes.  The prices associated with the items aren’t correct though.  I think they just divide the cost of the box (which is $13.99 plus $6 shipping) by the number of items in the box.  Here is what was included:

~ScribbleNauts Unmasked (~$5):  As predicted, L loved this.  We got Wonder Woman which L immediately ran off and put in his room.

ScribbleNauts Unmasked

~Brain Cell Plush Toy ($9.99): I can’t say that I have ever had a plush toy quite like this.  It’s a brain cell.  LOL.  The Adult Nerd Block boxes had STD’s (no seriously, STD plush toys) in them, so I think a brain cell is better ;).

~Pokemon Stickers (~$1): L isn’t into Pokemon, so I am going to save these for down the road in case he ever starts into it.

Pokemon Stickers

~Hot Wheels Car (~$1): I have a feeling that B is going to snag this one from L.  He loves classic cars keeps a few on his desk at work.

Hot Wheels Car

~Sonic The Hedgehog Pullbacks (~$2): WB actually ended up snagging this one before L got home from school today.  I don’t think L minded and WB had a great time with it.

Sonic The Hedgehog Pullbacks

~The Trash Pack Blind Bag (~$1): I don’t know much about The Trash Pack, but L thought it was great.  6 year-old boys like toilet humor and L is no exception!

The Trash Pack Blind Bag

All totaled I came up with a value of $19.99 for the September 2014 Nerd Block Jr.  I estimated most of the prices though, so it’s probably higher.  This box had a little something for everyone and we were all quite happy with it!  This is L’s favorite box and he always looks forward to getting it every month.
