I certainly wasn’t expecting my September 2014 Phone Case of the Month to arrive yesterday, but there it was when I opened the mailbox!
If you aren’t familiar with them, Phone Case of the Month delivers a unique, one of a kind phone case to you every month. Currently they only offer cases for iPhones (although I haven’t heard if they will be adding cases for the new iPhones) and Samsung Galaxy’s, but they are looking to expand down the road.
Phone Case of the Month ships via USPS in two batches during the month depending on the time of the month you subscribed. My case ships in the second batch and took only two days to get to me.
The cases always arrive in a drawstring pouch which also contains a small treat and the information card. I actually tried to peek in my account online a few days ago to see what case I was going to receive, but it wasn’t listed yet.
My Phone Case of the Month theme was “Be Strong” and included the following case:
~“Be Strong” Case: I don’t really know what elephants and chevron have to do with “Be Strong”, but since I really really like this case, I don’t know that I care either. And hopefully my mom will too since she eventually ends up using all my cases!
This case (and all cases they send) are exclusive to Phone Case of the Month so, as usual, I cannot do a price comparison. But for $10/month I think it’s beyond worth it. The cases are a nice quality, are super cute and you can’t beat the price. They aren’t going to save your screen from cracking in a fall (I do not even want to talk about what happened to my phone when it met the tile floor screen first last night), but they protect the back from scratches!

this is the one i was hoping for!! SO jealous!! However i did get the one with the dream catcher, and i think that one is awesome too.. they are kind of hit or miss.. some are really out there!! 🙂 Anyways i asked about not being able to see your cover ahead of time.. because somtimes i can, sometimes i cant. They said that it shows up a few days AFTER its shipped, because they want it to be a surprise and want you to have the cover first, before you can see it online.. 🙂
I always try and peek! So bad! I’d love to see all the different designs they have in their inventory.
so cute! i’m getting a new iphone when i can (so probably like 2 months from now), so i’ll wait until they start offering the new iphone cases to suscribe, don’t want to have a bunch of brand new cases for an outdated phone!
I hope they come out with the new ones!
For the screen I highly highly recommend buying a tempered glass screen protector. I sell cell phones (and should be there right now selling the new iphone 6 but am out on surgery leave =(( but anyways) those screen protectors will definitely protect the phone screen in case of a fall. You can get them fairly cheaply on Amazon (and then put it on at home) or go to your cell provider store and buy one and a salesperson will put it on for you. As someone who sees a thousand cracked screens a day it is something I cannot recommend enough.

My sub has been on hold with them, because honestly, how many cases does one need? But now I’m sad because I LOVE this case!

They said that at any given time they have about 200 cases in rotation. SO this one i saw people get a month or two ago and are still getting it 🙂
This is from August. I’ve seen this design in other reviews prior. Disappointing they aren’t being original right now.
Don’t they just mix it all up every month? They send out so many different cases each month.

MSA had the same design for August, that’s where I’ve seen it. You should cry foul.
I dont think you need to cry foul. They posted somewhere i dont remember where but at any given time they have 200 designs in rotation. They only make 200 of each case or something like that but they dont send all 200 out at once.. I got one that i havent seen any one get or many people get ( on instagram anyways).. Its not a design” per month” type thing.
I need to check instagram. I like looking at all the different cases.
check #pctom and #phonecaseofthemonth i noticed some people do both, and some do one or the other, i look everyday, especially beginning and middle of the month when everyone is getting their new ones. 🙂

I didn’t realize they did Galaxy cases. I might need to look into it. I love this one. I also didn’t realize everyone didn’t get the same one each month. I learned so much in this post. Who knew? LOL

Which did you get?
I’m not overly thrilled with mine this month considering what I’ve seen other Galaxy S5 users have gotten on Instagram, but I switched it anyway (even though I loved my scarf wearing raccoon). I also didn’t get a candy, sticker, pin this month, what gives?!
I’ll keep the sub for a little while, it’s fun for $10 a month, but eventually I won’t need so many cases!
