The Bride Box, who sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for, you guessed it, brides!  It contains fun full-sized gifts, samples, and more and is catered specifically to brides who are in the wedding planning process.

The Box

The Bride Box ships via USPS Priority Mail.  It sometimes ships via First Class Mail and sometimes via Priority Mail.

First Look

Great first look!  And I am still loving the new The Bride Box boxes!  Seriously aren’t these so cute?

The Information Card

The October 2014 The Bride Box theme was the “Honeymoon Edition” and included the following items to help you plan for that magical weekend (or long) after that magical day:

~Allie Anderson Designs Tote ($30): I thought this tote was super cute and I love the purple and black and white variation that I received!  It comes with a coin purse too which I also love.  It will make a great beach tote for your honeymoon or would make a fantastic bridesmaids gift (they can be personalized). It did have a bit of a odor to it (I can’t really describe it but it smelled a little too new), but I think it will be fine once I have it out in the open for a while.

~Sonar Travel $50 Gift Certificate: This gift card is good for $50 off your honeymoon planning with Sonar Travel. If you are planning on using them anyway, it is great, but I am not going to assign a value to it in my calculation because it will (obviously) cost you money to use it.

~Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara (~$10): I could make a joke about the name, but I am going to resist my inner 12 year-old and skip it.  It’s a fun mascara to try and I did thing it lengthened my lashes nicely.

~Elizabeth Mott Lash Card ($6.99): I cannot remember where I have gotten these in the past, but I know I have tried them.  They do work, but I wouldn’t buy them on my own because I feel like you could use regular paper or something?

All totaled I came up with a value of $46.99 for the October 2014 The Bride Box.  I didn’t love this box like I loved last month’s box (which was absolutely fantastic), but I think that’s because this box only had 3 items. If you didn’t like the big item (the tote) in this box, it probably wasn’t a good box for you.  But when there are more items in a box and you don’t like one or two, it’s not as big of a deal.
