Little Lace Box ships via USPS Priority Mail and took only a few days to arrive.
I had no idea what to expect when I opened this box, but I was quite pleased when I realized that not everything fit in the actual Little Lace Box this month. That always seems to be a good sign.
I really enjoyed last month’s Little Lace Box and was super hopefully for this month. The boxes themselves are great too.
Ohh, the first look was great. I swear I couldn’t get this box opened fast enough. I was just so excited to see what everything was.
The September 2014 Little Lace Box was titled the “Sassy and Spirited Party Box” and included the following items to help you host an amazing cocktail party:
~Monogramed Wine Tumblers ($26): These are absolutely gorgeous. They were crafted in the Amish country of Pennsylvania and are just perfect. Anytime a box does anything personalized I am instantly impressed. It’s a ton of work and you need to be very organized to pull it off. And they did it perfect!
~Chalkboard Coasters ($5.45): If you have stemless glasses, you can’t really do wine glass charms, but these chalkboard coasters work even better! You can write your name on them, leave little notes, etc. and it will protect your table too! They come with chalk, but the information card recommends picking up a chalkboard pen too (you can snag one in the One Spot at Target).
~Hand Stamped Cocktail Napkins ($15): I do not believe I have ever had / used hand stamped cocktail napkins before. They are cute and much needed for a cocktail party.
~The Original Party Straws ($5): I was this close to taking them out of the package and rearranging them into a pattern, but I decided to let it be. I am guessing they shifted around a bit during shipping. The information card suggests using them with mini bottles of champagne which seems like an excellent idea to me!
~FarmHouse Fresh Fine Body Scrub ($23): I love love love FarmHouse Fresh stuff (and have posted about it a few times as well) and have yet to see it in a subscription box. I was so thrilled to see it here that I didn’t even question what it had to do with cocktail parties. The information card though answered just that question. They recommend pouring some into a small decorative wooden bowl, putting the little spoon in it and letting your guests use it to wash their hands. I never would have thought of that and I love that idea.
All totaled I came up with a value of $74.45 for the September 2014 Little Lace Box and just like last month’s box, I totally loved this. Everything was unique and well curated and totally me. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite boxes!
