The November 2014 Fancy Food Box has arrived!  I always loving seeing what treats Fancy includes so B and I were excited to open it up.

Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), offers a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love HewittVerbalKelly Rowland, Nicky HiltonCoco RochaSnoop DoggT-Pain and / or The Rockettes. They also offer the Fancy Food Box you see here, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes and their Culinary Box.

Fancy Food Box ships via FedEx and took the standard two days to arrive to me.

First Look

The first look was absolutely fantastic.  I loved everything I saw and was anxious to see what other items were in there.  For whatever reason there wasn’t an information card in this box.  Fancy hasn’t been sending them lately, so I don’t quite know what’s up for that.  Anyway, here is what the November 2014 Fancy Food Box included:

~McClures Bloody Mary Potato Chips ($5): B loves these chips!  We might be a little biased because they are made in Detroit, but they are really really good.

~Three Jerks The Original Filet Mignon Beef Jerky ($14.99): B couldn’t wait for me to get the pictures of this box taken fast enough so he could try this.  And he loved it.  It’s possible we’ve gotten this before somewhere, but it’s been a long time I know that.

~The Cravory Cookies ($6): L and I have declared the Birthday Cake cookie to be the best cookie ever made.  It was dense and rich and just delicious.  I want to go to San Diego and try these cookies fresh out of the oven!  I don’t see how they could possibly be any better, but I bet they are.

~popBar Hot Chocolate on a Stick ($8.99):  I have gotten these before and I have always loved them.  They are more fun than regular hot chocolate and also make a great gift.

~My Brother’s Salsa (Cranberry Orange) ($8): I could totally see myself eating this with chips or even with with turkey on Thanksgiving.  It might be weird, but I think it’d be good!

~Wing Time Buffalo Wing Sauce ($8): This is probably the only item that I am really not overly excited about.  I’ll get used eventually, but I am not sure for what?  Maybe for Super Bowl?

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.98 for the November Fancy Food Box, which is just barely over the $46.95 cost of the box.  So while the box had a lot of fantastic items in it, I can’t really say that it was a great value.  Fancy Food Box used to put together some really great boxes with awesome values and I hope they are able to get back there.  But at least for now I have my Cravory cookies to make me feel better!

Did you get Fancy Food Box this month?  What’d you think?  If you are thinking of ordering the Fancy Food Box, click here and get signed up! If you order now, your subscription will begin with the November box.  And if you are looking for any of the other Fancy Box boxes (including Mystery Boxes), I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site, which I find quite confusing at times.

Sugar hurts the brain, the heart, the skin, the whole body actually, and yet these boxes just keep spitting it out. Sooooooo frustrating for someone that wants to eat better. Sigh.

I don’t think Fancy Food is the box to get if you want a healthy box option. Have you looked into Bestowed or Nourish Snacks or Healthy Surprise? Those might be better options.

Do they not include a kitchen-type item anymore? I haven’t subscribed since the spring but I remember getting such cool non-food items as well!

They haven’t included any non-food items in a while.

They no longer offer the Snoop Dogg box, we were charged this month and just got an email saying we were to be refunded .

Do you know of any current fancy box coupons? I wanted to get some as holiday gifts.

Well crap I just signed up for this box at the beginning of the month after I’ve had my eye on it for a while. But not too thrilled with this box, I thought they used to have some kitchen items in it too? Have you tried the Culinary Fancy Box?

  6. Ashley

the Culinary Fancy box is the one with the kitchen tools… Fancy Food Box is food only.

They actually used to throw in a non-food, but food related item every once in a while! I’ve gotten a pumpkin carving kit, a Brooklyn Slate Co. cheese plate, a cookbook, a candy dish, a cool water bottle, etc. in Fancy Food boxes. All really neat stuff!
