My November 2014 Yogi Surprise, which I won an annual subscription to through a referral contest) arrived today!
Yogi Surprise is a monthly care package designed to complement your healthy lifestyle. Within each Yogi Surprise you’ll receive 6-8 full size products ranging from unique yoga accessories and natural beauty items to herbal tonics, organic snacks and super food essentials. One subscriber per month will also win that month’s Yogi Surprise retreat! This month’s retreat is in Kalani Ocean Retreat in Kalani Hawaii and all you need to do to win is post a picture of your box and incorporate that month’s theme. You can check out this month’s entries here.
Yogi Surprise ships via USPS Priority Mail and took only two days to arrive. Boxes are shipped between the 4th and 6th of the month.
The box looked like it had a ton of stuff in it and I was excited to dig through it all!
The November 2014 Yogi Surprise included a variety of items inspired by wellness and joy to help you acknowledge all the beauty and bliss in your life. Here is what was inside:
~Hurraw! Vata Lip Balm ($4.29): This is a “grounding” lip balm. It’s infused with “rich, cold pressed organic sesame seed oil, creamy raw organic coconut oil, rich raw organic cacao butter, emollient cold pressed organic castor oil and plants, fruits and roots. I can’t really say that I felt more grounded after using it, but I did think it was fantastic.
~Valentina’s Home Brewed Sunny Outlook Natural Body Mist ($8.99): Oh, I love this! It smells amazing and is described as a great way to “carry your intentions with you throughout the day”.
~Golden Earth Chakra Wellness Oil ‘Energy’ ($26): I cannot find this online and it’s driving me nuts! Not very zen like I know. It’s a roll-on oil that helps your active wellness and also carries and emphasis on creativity, grace, sensuality and procreation.
~Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant (Cedarwood + Juniper) ($9): Okay, so I was super hesitant about this at first, but I am telling you, it works. I have gotten a few containers of it in boxes here and there, and really like it. I am still not in love with the application aspect (you can use your fingers or the little spatula thing), but it’s good stuff.
~Sencha Green Tea Mints (Tropical Mango) ($2.95): If you haven’t tried these, you need to. They are the best mints out there. For real. So good.
~Lush Nuts – Coconut Lavender ($4.50): I am not a fan of almonds (except I do like almond butter) so I will be passing these on to B. They are quite an interesting combination though that’s for sure.
~Earthling Organics – Heirloom Cacao Bar ($2.49): So this isn’t, well, it isn’t like I thought it would be, but I also don’t love it. They are obviously a better snack choice than things I normally eat though.
~Valentina’s Home Brewed Psychic Detox Bath Salts ($3.50): Depending in the outcome of this MSU-OSU game tonight, I may need a detox bath. I actually should take a detox bath while watching the game. I could use some relaxation right now.
~Bonus Surprise Item: Jo-Sha Wipes ($2.59): This was a bonus item this month! Everyone got a bonus, but I don’t know if we all got the same thing. I like wipes like this and they work nice for after a workout or whenever you need some refreshing.
All totaled I came up with a value of $64.31 for the November 2014 Yogi Surprise. I really liked this month’s box and love how they boosted the value in comparison to the October box. I hope these fabulous boxes continue because this one made me very happy!

ETA: Per the Yogi Surprise Facebook page, one of items in this month’s box was supposed to be “authentic, handmade Indian Tiger Eye Mala Beads–a $30 dollar value”. According to a card included in the box (my box either didn’t have this or I threw it away) “The Mala Beads are being handmade in India by a special Fair-Trade program just for Yogi Surprise; they’re utterly beautiful and we pinky promise they’ll be ready for the next box! We deeply apologize if you were expecting them this month. “To make up for the missing beads, we replaced them with two other products and added a special extra bonus surprise!” . Thank you to Ava and Becky for the heads up on this!
