Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Today I’m smiling because:

~We went to Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village last night and for the first time in years and years, it wasn’t freezing cold out. It’s usually beyond freezing and I actually missed last year because WB was sick. Everyone was healthy this year and we had a great time!

Santa actually calls out the kid's names which L goes CRAZY for! So cool!

~I figured out a few things to get WB for Christmas.  I have been at a loss with him, but I think I have it down now!  Yay!!!

~Hannah Andersson is currently offering their adorable holiday pjs for over 50% off. WHAT? That’s amazing. Listen, I know that $20 for kids pjs doesn’t seem like a “deal”, but for HA it is! And I have been eyeballing those santa ones for weeks! YES!

HA Holiday PJS!

~We are getting our Christmas tree tomorrow!

~B’s mustache is gone, Fred the Elf has remembered to move every night and L has Santa Shop next week at school.  I cannot wait to see his picks!

~Sweet Baxter sits with my in my office at night.  No matter how late I stay up, he stays with me. And when I go upstairs to bed, he does too.  I love that dog.

The Best
The Best

~I can always count on you guys for great feedback! The new layout is for sure not a certain thing, so if you hate it don’t leave because I swear I am trying lots of different things on my end to make it better and to make everyone (and me) happy!

~L got a great report from his teacher at conferences and I couldn’t have been more pleased to hear how kind and friendly he is to all of his classmates!

That’s it from here!  What’s got you smiling today?

Can I just say I love seeing pictures of your little dogs? Especially Baxter since he reminds me of my old dog that died in February. He used to follow me around like that too! Even though a big dog came into my life ~3 months ago and I kept her, I still miss that little guy. Seeing Baxter makes me want to adopt another little dog but I think it’s too soon. 🙁

Everything sounds wonderful. Love the picture of Baxter.

I like that the newest story is showing the full text now. I love spoilers so I didn’t mind seeing the whole post before, but I can see how some people might not like that.

I guess I’m at a loss as your layout looks the same to me. What am I missing? However I will read your blog no matter how it looks 😉

I was shopping yesterday & saw holiday sleepers for men that looks like an ‘Elf’ outfit. It made me think of how cute your kids look in their little holiday jammies! Didn’t buy since husband probably wouldn’t wear them for photos. 😉
I’ve been looking for a fun advent calendar (is it too late?) with little surprises or something unique. Any thoughts?

I don’t love that you have to click continue reading on some of the posts. I liked just reading straight through, but maybe thats just me

I am pretty up to date on your blog so I like that the newest posts are full but the other ones are condensed. That way if I want to go back a few days I don’t have to scroll down forever looking for it. Thanks for the fun blog to read every day! 🙂 I would suggest a giveaways page though 🙂 I usually have to go back to Facebook to find your giveaway link cause I have way to many pages saved as favorites lol

Seeing your little guys makes me smile. (And your little dogs too.) I love my son even more now that he’s 12, but I wish I could travel back in time to visit him when he was in the baby, toddler and preschool years. I miss those times!

Thanks for the heads up on the pajama sale. This is probably the last year I’ll be able to embarrass my son with Christmas pjs. He didn’t like the ones at Target because they were one piece, but the HA ones are perfect. Love stripes for boys!

    Baxter just looks so sweet.
