~Good morning! As you may have noticed I changed up the format around here a little. I tried to keep things looking mainly the same, but still different enough so that I can do more things with it. I still have some tweaking to do like getting the comment bubbles on the bottom of the posts instead of the top, some minor post formatting, etc. but it’s getting there.

~Poor Baxter had to go to the vet this week. Usually we take both dogs at the same time for their regular check-ups and that’s about the only time they ever have to go.  But this time it was just Baxter.  He thought he was hot stuff that he got to go somewhere without Buddy and just about pranced out to the car.  However, he was less than pleased when he ended up at the vet. After x-rays, blood work and uh, some “samples” taken, it was determined that he had a bladder stone. He’s going to be just fine. Phew.  I was a little stressed for a minute.  He’s the sweetest dog ever and I have high hopes he lives till he’s at least 20 (he’ll be 9 this year).

~I still have quite a few boxes coming this week including Doodle CrateKoala Crate, Julep, Hammock Pack, Hazel Lane, The Pantry Gourmets Bite Box and Cate and Chloe.  I also have a my February Wantable boxes on their way, but I am guessing they won’t be here until next week.

~Are you watching the final episode of Parenthood tonight?  I am not ready for it to be over.  And if Zeek dies?  No.  Just no.

~Does anyone here sew?  I have been saying that I want to learn for ages and actually have a sewing machine, but I haven’t done anything about it.  I just want to make like pillow cases and curtains and that sort of thing.  That’s doable right?

~Did you see the Budweiser Super Bowl commercial yet? They always have the best commercials.  This years is no exception. That Go Daddy puppy ad?  Not so cute.  But did they plan that all along just to get people talking about Go Daddy?  If they did, it’s obviously working!

~That’s all from here! What do you have planned for the weekend? What are you doing for the Super Bowl?

I’m glad Baxter will be okay! He is freakin adorable.
I sew! I actually have an Etsy shop as my other job 🙂 You can easily do pillows and curtains- those are the best things to learn on, since they’re basically just straight lines. The main thing to remember is measure twice, cut once. haha
There are TONS of youtube tutorials and stuff out there. Craftsy also has some good classes. Can’t wait to see what you make 🙂

My mom is a sewer, and I always take on projects for her to “help” with but for some odd reason she always ends up doing all the work…

I don’t think I am ready for tonight at all! I’ve been reading every Buzzfeed, People etc article about Parenthood and I tear up at all the moments from the previous seasons that they bring up, I don’t know how I am going to feel watching tonight’s episode knowing its the last Braverman gathering we’ll be able to witness. And if Zeek dies?! I may just need to make sure my fridge is stocked with pints of ice cream because I will be in mourning for the end of that beautiful relationship.

Those commercials with the puppies give me tears every time! That being said, I can’t wait for Super Bowl, because that means Puppy Bowl!

I only have Hulu/Netflix so I’ll be watching Parenthood tomorrow. I thought there were two episodes left and assumed the last three would be Baby (last week), Wedding (this week), Death (next week)… so now I’m gonna guess wedding then bye bye Zeek. 🙁 This show has torn my heart out every episode for years… I can’t imagine how sad the last one will be. I might need medication.

And sewing is a breeze once you know how to set up your machine. I went to a class at Joann because I had been given a sewing machine and just left it in its box for THREE YEARS because I didn’t know how to thread it or anything. But one day of basics and I can pretty much figure anything out now with the help of youtube. If you’ve never used your machine before maybe have a sewing friend come help you the first time. Or go to a class. Joann’s has 50% off class tuition all the time.
