Bespoke Post February 2015

B’s February 2015 Bespoke Post box is here! The options this month were Knotted (our selection) which included your choice of three ties or Honed which included a chef’s knife and various accouterments.

In case you aren’t familiar with them, Bespoke Post delivers fresh and interesting lifestyle brands and products to men. Each month, you’ll get to choose from their limited-edition boxes filled with an array of products built around a central, unique theme. Don’t want one that month? Just skip the month (you can opt out during the first 5 days of the month) and you won’t be charged.

The Box

Bespoke Post shipped via UPS Mail Innovations this month. I believe it took just about a week to arrive.  Sometimes Bespoke ships mid-month and other months it’s towards the end of the month.  February boxes shipped mid-month.

Everything was packaged absolutely perfectly.  I expected the ties to just be in a plastic bag or rolled up in the box, but that was not the case at all.  They were each in their own little black cardboard sleeve and looked so fancy!

The Information Card

The February 2015 Bespoke Post “Knotted” box featured three ties from Gilded Age – a New York based label.  Here are the options we selected:

~Gilded Age Blue Pindot ($55): Gilded Age ties are 2.5″ which is described on the information card as “slim enough to look modern”, but isn’t skinny tie territory.  Totally agree on that. You’ll look stylish wearing them, but they will really work for anyone!

Gilded Age Blue Pindot

~Gilded Age Blue Pencil Stripe ($55): I feel like this is the most “Classic” tie of the bunch print wise.  Bespoke gives some great tips and suggestions for wearing ties in the information card like matching the width of your tie to your lapel, add a tie-bar, matching the fabric of your tie to the season, etc. which I know B will read up on.

~Gilded Age Tri-Color Plaid ($55): This is totally my favorite pattern of the bunch. It’s something I would have picked out for B out of hundreds of patterns if I saw it at the store.  It’s classic but still very modern and today. I realize that doesn’t really make sense, but that’s what I think!

Using retail values the ties have a value of $165.  Now we wouldn’t have just went out and randomly spent $165 on 3 ties (although good ones are expensive), but $45 for 3 ties is a steal!  This might be a great box to pick up for now to save for Father’s Day gifts!
