Limited Edition: Birchbox + babyGap Review + Coupon Codes + Giveaway
Limited Edition: Birchbox + babyGap

Birchbox (the mother of all subscription boxes) has paired up with BabyGap for a special limited edition box.  The Birchbox + BabyGap Limited Edition Box is $48 and is packed with bliss-inducing products meant to pamper and inspire new moms.  The box is available both at Birchbox.com and BabyGap online and also in select BabyGap stores.

The Box

My box shipped via UPS and arrived super quickly.

The Limited Edition: Birchbox + babyGap Box

While this box is designed for new moms, I think it can really be for anyone who needs a little pampering.  Only one of the items is specifically designed for babies and you could always gift those if you don’t have a little one.

First Look

All of the contents of this box were released by Birchbox weeks ago, so opening it wasn’t a surprise.  I don’t believe there were any variations in this box either – everyone is getting the same items.

The Information Card

The Birchbox + BabyGap Limited Edition box contained the following thoughtful items meant to inspire and pamper without adding time to your already busy routine:

~amika Nourishing Hair Mask ($10): I’ve long been a fan of the amika mask. You can use it while in the shower and you only need to leave it on your hair for 5 minutes.  Not 20 minutes, not a half an hour.  5 minutes. It smells good and makes my hair shiny and extra soft.  And I have never had a problem with it stripping my color.

~babyGap PersonaliTees Bodysuits 3-Pack (6-12 months) (~$25): These aren’t for sale online so I had to estimate the price.  I do a lot of BabyGap shopping though and I feel like I am pretty close.  A friend of mine from college just had a baby – as in she had him yesterday – so I’ll be sending these to her.  BabyGap onesies are really well made and last for ages. Some of the BabyGap items I bought for L (he’s almost 7) lasted through him and WB and are now being used by another friend of mine for her baby!

~Not Soap, Radio Body Wash – To sleep full of sweet dreams (without waking up in a mad panic at 3 am). ($1.76): I love the names of all the Not Soap, Radio products!  I think to sleep full of sweet dreams without waking up in a mad panic at 3am is the dream of all new moms!  Those first few nights that your baby sleeps through the night are a little nerve-wracking.  Why aren’t they waking up?  Are they okay???  LOL. Anyway, I love this stuff. It’s a lavender scent with a twist of clementine and is designed for stress relief.

~Soap and Paper Factory Farmacie Hand Cream – Calendula ($16): This hand cream is all-natural and smells great. It’s not too heavy which is nice.  A good hand cream is an absolute must for new moms (well everyone really) because the hand washing is constant.  All those diaper changes and hand washing cycles can lead to some very dry hands if you don’t watch out.

~suki® exfoliate foaming cleanser ($8.24): Does anyone not like this cleanser?  It’s not something I would use nightly, but once or twice a week is perfect.  B loves it too and we’ll both end up using this.  It’s got this fantastic lemon smell and is made with all-natural ingredients.

~W3LL PEOPLE Bio Extreme Lipgloss (Berry) ($23.50): W3LL PEOPLE makes all-natural cosmetics and I believe this brand I first heard of this brand in the Birchbox Limited Edition Free for All box. The color of this gloss is gorgeous – not too deep, not too bright – just right and I like the slight minty smell it has.  I couldn’t feel too much of a tingle to it (it plumps too), but I am more about the color of it than anything else.

~Whish Three Wishes Body Butter (Lavender) ($8): I’ve gotten a few Whish products from Birchbox over the years and have always been happy with them.  They moisturize nicely and they all smell good (the Almond is my favorite though). I usually only get the small sample size ones and not this travel size, but I really like the pump this has on it!

All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $92.50 on the Birchbox + BabyGap Limited Edition Box.  That’s almost double the cost of the box itself and could be an even better deal if you use one of the following Birchbox coupons codes / offers:

~Birchbox + May Designs Best Day Ever Weekly Agenda with your shop purchase of $55+ (AGENDA1 at checkout for the cobalt True Blue pattern, AGENDA2 for the red Feeling Rosy pattern or AGENDA3 for the yellow Sunny Days pattern).
(or)
~”COMEBACK20“, “TAKE20OFF” or “MOBILE20″, “WELCOMEOFFER20″ to save 20% off your order.  These may or may not work depending on if you have used them in the past, but they are worth a try!

You can only use one coupon code per order, but don’t forget that you can add a Mystery Sample Pack to your cart on ALL orders of $35+ as well.  I am very happy with this box and it’s contents and think it’d made a fabulous shower gift or a great gift to bring when you go visit the baby for the first time.  If you want to order one you can head over to Birchbox (or BabyGap but I don’t know of any current coupon codes for them.  Or uf just want to try your hand at winning one, I am giving one away today (March Madness always puts me in a really good mood).  You know the drill – just read the riles, enter in the widget below and then come back every day to enter again!
