~Good morning! Things aren’t so great around here this morning. L has the stomach flu and feels miserable ;(. Poor guy! We were doing so well with illnesses this year and then I had to jinx it by talking to the MEPS(*) lady the other day. Hopefully he is on the mend soon. We’ll be spending most of today watching movies and loafing around though – and trying to make sure WB doesn’t catch it!
~Did anyone watch Teen Mom OG this week? It seems like Amber’s got it together now. Good for her! Well, she appears to be in love with Gary still, but she’ll snap out of that. Ryan hasn’t changed (he’s still hot) and Macy’s got a new man. Did she and Kyle break after the show ended or did I miss that somehow? And Catelynn and Tyler are having a baby! I didn’t watch them on Couples Therapy, but they must have gotten it all figured out no? April (Catelynn’s mom) looks awesome. She been an on and off mess, but she looks clean this season. They didn’t announce that Farrah was coming back yet, but maybe next week. Can’t wait to hear what the other ladies think of that.
~I didn’t pull any winners for the Bracket Challenge yet, but it’s on my “To Do” list. I need to make sure everyone who is participating has put their name in the Google Form. And I noticed that some people put their names in there more than once so I need to clean that up. But once I do I’m going to pull 5 winners (using Random.Org) and they will get a $25 Gift Card to either Target, Starbucks, Birchbox, Nordstrom, or iTunes! I’ll announce it on Facebook when I get it all sorted out and pulled.
~After MSU won last weekend I decided to put together an MSU Keep Collective Bracelet and it arrived yesterday. I had some of the charms for already but needed the basketball and the horseshoe. And the green Keeper (the bracelet). The flip side of the bracelet (the leather bracelets are reversible) is blue so I planned out my Tigers Keep on there. Opening Day is so soon!
~A few subscriptions will be trickling in the rest of this week including For the Faithful, FabFitFun, Koala Crate, B’s April Birchbox Man, Five Four Club, Socialbliss Style Box, Hammock Pack and MunchPak. The last few days of the month are generally slow, but that’s not the case this month.
~April Birchbox Sample Choice E-mails are going out today to ACES and to those with Early Access so make sure you keep an eye out for that. Also, I think April Citrus Lane customization options should be open soon as well. I’ll post reminders on these when they come out too!

(*) Somehow our household got selected for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). We have to get interviewed every six months or so for the next 2 years regarding our health spending, doctors visits, insurance, etc. Out first interview was the other day and of course I was telling her how NO ONE had been sick the past few months. Figures!
how do you like your tory birch flex band?
the reviews on all of them are AWFUL but i’m sick of the plain band I have.
I haven’t had any problems so far. Maybe I haven’t been wearing it long enough, but nothing has been peeling off yet and I haven’t had any problems with it falling off. My cousin has the pink one and hers still looks good too. I REALLY like the leather band ones they have, but $175???? We’ll see about that!
I just got one this week and they’ve added a little extra plastic closure (or at least I imagine this is new – the regular FB band doesn’t have it) that as long as it is covering the clasp (it fits very tight) there is no way for the band to fall off. So I think they fixed that issue. Obviously I haven’t had mine long enough to know about the peeling.
I hope L feels better quickly, and no one else becomes sick. I should receive my replacment BBPlus item, Kiwi Crate, and For the Faithful this week. Maybe Causebox because they went out without tracking numbers being sent to us. I still haven’t received tracking for my replacement March BB.
B’s March Birchbox Man never appeared either! I ended up with a replacement. I think that’s the first time our Birchbox ever got lost!

I miss the good ol days before I had my daughter when I used sick days to go to the movies. Now she sucks up all my sick time and sometimes vacation 🙁
And thanks for reminding me about Teen Mom, for some reason my DVR decided it didn’t want to record it anymore, though I may have deleted it when it “ended” awhile back. I do love a good hot mess.
I’d love to hear what you get for Citrus Lane customization this month. For my 4 year old girl box, they are offering a Chewbeads bracelet. She’ll have fun wearing it but we are WAY beyond the point where she would chew on jewelry.

Love that “Teen Mom” is back! Did you watch the “Getting to Know” episodes a few weeks ago? (Getting to know Maci, Getting to know Catelyn etc etc) They did one on each of the girls even Farrah. It was interesting to watch them watch themselves from the very beginning to see how far they have come. Looks like this season will not be drama free especially when they bring Farrah back! I’ve read some stuff about Catelyn & Tyler and Carly’s adoptive parents having some issues and it makes me sad. Saw in the previews the four of them sitting down with Dawn to discuss everything. I’m happy for Catelyn and Tyler and already know I will be bawling when they have their baby girl on the show, Watching their “16 and Pregnant” when they hand over Carly was heartbreaking. Maci’s new guy seems nice…and they are expecting their little girl very soon. Amber and Gary just make me nervous when they are in the same room together. ..”Teen Mom 2″ will be back soon too..Are Janelle & Nathan broke up (again)?..it looks like it according to her Twitter..
