BarkBox May 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Code
BarkBox May 2015 Subscription Box Review

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. All treats included in the boxes are sourced from the USA and Canada, and chews are sourced from the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, so you can be assured that your pet is only getting safe, high-quality items. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month.We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.

The Box

BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took just a few days to arrive this month.

First Look

Baxter and Buddy were right by my side when I was opening this box up.  They clearly could smell something yummy in here.

The Information Card

The May 2015 BarkBox theme was Garden Party and included the following items:

~Harry Barker Fetch Canvas Bone ($12):  I didn’t understand how this related to Garden Party at first and then I realized it was because dogs dig in gardens and hide bones. Duh!  So far it’s just been Buddy and WB fighting about this one, but I am sure Baxter will get in on the act soon.

~Hare of the Dog Rabbit Jerky Stick ($2.99):  These are messy (well I think they are anyway), but the boys love them.

~P.L.A.Y. Butterfly ($10): So cute!  It’s got that fun crinkle paper and the is so pretty!

~Plato Pet Treats Farmer’s Market ($8): These treats smell horrible (to me), but the dogs love them.  They are all-natural and contain no artificial preservatives, flavors or GMO’s and are made from all-natural salmon.

~Butcher’s Block Rib ($3): I thought those other treats were gross, but this is GROSS!  And, of course, the dogs are obsessed.  There have been some battles about this one already.  If Baxter has it he won’t even let Buddy get close without freaking out on him.

Butcher’s Block Rib

All totaled I came up with a value of $35.99 for the May 2015 BarkBox.  I didn’t think this was quite as cute as some of the previous months, but the dogs certainly did love it!
