Loot Crate June 2015 Subscription Box

Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box full of hand-picked, awesome geek and gamer products. Each month, for less than $20, you’ll receive 6-8 products which are guaranteed to have a value of $30 or more.

The Box

Loot Crate now ships via FedEx Smart Post.  Smart Post is slower than USPS which is what they previously used, however, they are now shipping boxes earlier so subscribers will be receiving them around the same time each month.

Loot Crate decorates the insides of the boxes to match the theme and I love it.

The Information Card

The June 2015 Loot Crate theme was “Cyber” and included the following items:

~Exclusive Nerd HQ Sticker Sheet by The Nerd Machine & Future Replicant Corporate Logo Patch: These nerd stickers made me laugh.  L got a kick out of them too.  They will likely end up on a laptop or an iPad somewhere.  I am not sure where the logo patch will end up though.  It can be sewn or ironed on lab coats, backpacks (this could be what we do) or just about anything.

~Exclusive Prime T-Shirt: WB saw this shirt when I was taking it out of the box and he was like “I WANT TO WEAR THIS”.  LOL!  If only they had kid sizes!  Loot Crate is having a contest this month and is asking subscribers to post a picture of them recreating the post from this “Prime” t-shirt.  You can find out more details here.

~Exclusive Borderlands Zer0 Game Mat by Loot Crate Labs: Loot Crate describes this as a gamer mat, but I would call it a mouse pad.  It’s 10′ x 12′ and is designed to “improve your precision and responsiveness of all your mouse movements”.

~Exclusive Terminator Genisys Endo Skull Replica by Chronicle Collectibles: This is a 1/2 scale model cyborg noggin.  The information booklet gives some details on how it was made which I loved reading about.  I think L is going to keep this in his room.  He thinks it’s very very cool.

~Exclusive Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain by Chronicle Collectibles: Other than this being a keychain, I didn’t know what it was. Turns out it’s a brain chip belonging to a new & improved T-1000 Terminator cyborg.

~Battlestar Galactica Cylon Target Poster Set by Quantum Mechanix: Awesome.  I wasn’t sure what we’d use these for until the information card suggested that you shoot your Nerf gun at them.  Perfect.  L will be all over that.  I am trying to figure out if there is something we could put on the end of the bullets to see how good his shot is.

~Exclusive Glow-in-the-Dark Circuit Gadget Pouch: This isn’t just a cool pouch, it’s a cool glow-in-the dark pouch.  I am pretty sure this will be L’s new pencil pouch.

As has been the case lately, there were so many Loot Crate exclusive items in this month’s box that I couldn’t do a cost breakdown.  This wasn’t my favorite box, but that’s because we favor the Superhero boxes and retro boxes a tad more because that’s what L is more into. Still it was a solid box and it had a lot of cool items.

Do they ever sell their exclusive shirts? I neeed that shirt for my boyfriend, he was a big fan of both TRON and Transformers! There are a few on ebay in his size but I’m not sure if I should wait to see if they’ll sell this month on their “past boxes” (is loot crate the one that does that?!) or just bite the bullet now.

Just a little bit of trivia: Nerd Machine is owned and run by Zac Levy, who played Chuck on “Chuck” (lol). He is going to be the star of Heroes when it comes back on.
