You can’t see it in the picture, but the box was packed full!  I had an idea what the theme was and I was excited about it.

The Information Card

The August 2015 Something Snacks theme was “It Ain’t Easy Being Cheesy” and included the following items:

~TGIF Potato Skins – Cheddar & Bacon: These are a road trip snack for sure.  B has grabbed them quite a few times while making the trip home from up-north and will love to see them on our next trip.  The little boys are big fans too.

~Naturally Nutfull Red Velvet Chocolate Truffle: These were REALLY really good.  They actually seemed like a cross between a cake ball and a truffle to me, but I so totally enjoyed them.  They were just the something I needed yesterday afternoon.

~Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps – Garlic Parmesan: I haven’t eaten this specific bag yet, but I have had these in the past and I like them.  I find that the flavored pretzel crisps are better than the plain ones.  I think you need more of the plain ones to be satisfied (or you need to dip them in hummus or something), but these are flavorful enough to be eaten alone.

~Just the Cheese Baked Cheese Grilled Cheese: I’m not so sure about these.  They tasted like mini rice cakes.  I actually didn’t think they were cheesy enough for my tastes.

~Mississippi Cheese Straw Factory Three-Cheese Cheese Straws: Now cheese straws are cheesy enough for me.  In fact, I love them. They are part cookie, part cracker.  I don’t know why you don’t see more cheese straws on store shelves.

~Corkers Natural British Crunch Red Leicester & Caramelised Onions: I am saving these chips for B.  He loves Cheddar and Onion chips so hopefully he feels the same about Red Leicester and Onion ones.

~Featured Snack: Cheesecake KitKat Bars: The featured snack this month was Cheesecake KitKat bars.  Who knew such a thing even existed? Not me!  We need to get these in the States like yesterday.  Get this, you can even bake them.  The instructions for baking them are on the information card and I can’t wait to try it.  They were good enough out of the package and I imagine they are even better baked.  I have never baked a candy bar before so this should be neat.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but I think it’s more than fair to say it’s worth $13!  So many fun snacks and they are right, there is a little something in here for everyone.
