First Look

I could not remember what scent I was getting this month, so opening it up was a fun surprise.

The Vial

I was even more surprised to see that I had received a fresh metal case for my vials!  Typically it only comes in your first shipment and then you are able to order extra cases (at $12.95/each) as necessary. They offer limited edition colored cases (like this one) for members only as well. This was a review box so I can only assume they wanted to show how cute the red case was.

The Card

Each month Scentbird selects a perfume of the month (the September one was Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline EDT and the October one will be Clean Cashmere), however, you can select whatever scent you wish.  I have been picking scents I am not familiar with so I can try lots of new ones. My September selection was as follows:

~Aquolina Pink Sugar Sensual: I am a HUGE fan of the original Pink Sugar perfume, but I have never tried any of their other options.  I figured it was time.  This.is.amazing.  You still get that same cotton candy scent of the original, but it’s deeper than that.  It’s more musky.  Per the description on the website the scent has “sweet-tart sparks of black currant, tangerine and bergamot, as a fresh-fruity overture to a heart composed of orange blossom, light nuances of pink jasmine petals and tiare flowers. Base notes seduce with sweetness of vanilla, black sugar and woody accords of sandalwood.”  I’d agree with all that, but really, I would just describe it as incredible.

I resubscribed with a voucher to this. I think I would like the fragrance you got, maybe I should add that to my queue. I also like original Pink Sugar but this one sounds good, too.

I got my second box from Scentbird yesterday and was surprised to find another case and it was red just like yours. I’m not sure why I got this case but I’m not complaining and am certainly happy with it!

I signed up for Scentbird and I have one question I’ve been wondering but can’t seem to find the answer to, but you may know: How often do they update their collection/get new fragrances? Most of the perfumes/colognes they offer have been around for a while, and I’m wondering if I’ll get to try anything newer that comes out with them.
