What is Birchbox?
Birchbox ($10/month) offers 4-6 (sometimes more) hand-picked beauty and lifestyle samples, delivered to your door each month. You can review the samples you receive on a monthly basis to earn points in their shop, which makes the “real” cost of the box even less. Points accumulate until you are ready to spend, so you can stockpile and combine with coupon codes to get some complete steals (which I try to do).  I have been subscribing to Birchbox for over 3 years now and would say they are one of the most (maybe the most) well known subscription boxes out there. They are certainly one of the longest lasting boxes.

    I am really unhappy with Birchbox this month. This is the 2nd month in row where I couldn’t get their webstie’s sample choice to work on my iPhone – so I emailed them the same day I was offered the sample choice option and they told me the Power Pose boxes were no longer available. But clearly they have plenty in stock if they can now offer the box to new subscribers! Are new subscribers more important to current customers? My September box was awful and this isn’t right. I emailed them regarding my opinion and asking for the box I originally requested… I’ll let you know how they respond.

      I am actually surprised they didn’t honor your request in the e-mail! Their customer service is usually so great. Let me know what they say!

        They gave me some BS about “we reserved as many boxes as possible for our current subscribers but we wanted to make sure to reserved some of these boxes for new subscribers…” blah blah.

        They offered me nothing. So I canceled my subscription. Ridiculous. Sounds like Jennifer D. got cheated as well – congrats on being a survivor! <3

      I don?t know how they are just giving these away when I am an ACE as well as a breast cancer survivor who had this in my cart but my 20% coupon didn?t work and when they finally got back to me, it was sold out and now they say there is nothing they can do for me.

    I am frustrated too because I wanted this box and it was “sold out” when I went to make my choice but clearly it really was not!

    I was charged for shipping on something I should not of and that caused my money to not be there in the first therefore I lost my featured box and I emailed them and they said sorry but I ended up getting it so I was happy it said that you could buy the box but it was sold out
