xAllure Red Carpet Beauty Bonus Box The Allure Beauty Box includes five or more deluxe-sized beauty products every month. Boxes are curated by the editors of Allure magazine and include a special-edition “mini magazine” chock full of the most trusted product reviews you’ve come to expect from Allure.  This review is on their limited edition “Red Carpet Beauty Box”.  It was sent to selected subscribers (*) free of charge simply as a thank you for being a subscriber.  The box was curated to celebrate awards season and was designed to bring out the best version of you.
The Allure Beauty Box ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.

There was some speculation if subscribers would be receiving all of the items in the Red Carpet Beauty Box or just a select few (I thought we’d be getting them all), but my questions were quickly answered when I opened the box.  Plus I saw something in there I hadn’t realized was coming.

The Allure Red Carpet Beauty Box included the following items to make you feel glamorous and bring out the best version of you:

~Covergirl TruBlend Primer (Oily Skin) ($9.99): I am not sure why, but I was surprised that it was so thin? It has the consistency of a milky lotion.  It helps to hold your foundation and give you a silky smooth finish.  It’s invisible, so it does all this without even being noticed.

~Cover Girl Intensify Me! by lashblast ($6.65): This is the item I didn’t realize was coming in the box.  It was hiding!  The eyeliner is almost marker like and has a “paddle shape” applicator.  You can use it for super thin lines or flip it and get a thicker line. Pretty genius.

~Covergirl LashBlast Plumpify Mascara ($11.99): I can’t say that I have ever received a mascara that doesn’t have the brush already in the tube!  The wand on this mascara is huge and twisted.  It seems kind of messy, but it’s actually really awesome for getting those corners of your eyes.  I got tons of volume from it and only needed one coat.

~Covergirl Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Lip Balm (Soda) ($8.99): This is a tinted lip balm, much like the Fresh Sugar ones, but without the hefty price tag.  Subscribers will receive one of five shades.  I received “Soda” – like a cherry coke soda I would guess?  It’s super moisturizing and I love that it gives you a hint of color, but not too much.  I think I have found a new favorite.

~SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (1oz) ($39.60): SK-II Facial Treatment Essence moisturizes and smoothes lines.  You use it after cleansing (and before moisturizer) and you “sprinkle” it on your face and neck with your fingertips.  One thing I love about Allure Beauty Box is that their information booklets give you all the details on how products work, how you use them, what order they go on it, etc.  I have never used a product like this before and can’t wait to see what it does for my skin,

~SKI-II Facial Treatment Mask ($17): This sheet mask is designed to make your skin “dewy and bright”.  I have been using a bunch of different facial products lately so I thought I should hold off on this one.  It sounds incredible though and the card indicates that if you use it even just once before big event, your skin will glow!

~Wella Oil Reflections Anti-Oxidant Smoothing Oil (30mL / 1oz) ($11.83): This lightweight hair oil smells amazing (think vanilla – floral) and smooths flyways and frizz.  It also leaves hair incredible shiny!  It only took a little bit of this to get my hair looking amazing!

All totaled the Allure Red Carpet Beauty Box had a value of $106.05!  That is incredible for a free box sent as a benefit to subscribers.  I am super impressed and can’t say enough good things about Allure!

(*) I believe (and I could be wrong) that getting this Red Carpet Box (and the freebies that Allure sent last month) have to do with who you are getting billed by. Subscribers who are still being billed by BeautyBar.com aren’t getting the e-mails / freebies, but subscribers who are being billed by Allure are getting the emails / freebies.  Let me know in the comments who you subscribe through and whether or not you got the freebies.  If you are still being billed through BeautyBar it might not be a bad idea to cancel and resubscribe through Allure.
