Everything was packaged neatly into a giant black “Avenue A” box.

The Avenue A by Adidas box opened up like a giant shoe box.

I was a tad surprised when I opened up the box to see that the shoes were not packed in their own individual shoe box, but considering I would have tossed the shoe box in two seconds it’s probably for the best.  If you are a big shoe collector or like to store your shoes in their original boxes, I can see this being an issue.

The Spring 2016 Avenue A by Adidas featured the following items:

~adidas Pure Boost X Shoes ($120): These shoes were released as a spoiler item and I loved them instantly, so I knew that this box would only really be a $30 gamble for me.  I have been wearing them since the box arrived and they are super comfortable.  And really unlike any running shoe I have ever owned.  They have a “floating arch” which is designed to “hug and support” every step you take and also mold to your foot.  You can actually stick your hand through the bottom between the body of the shoe and the sole. At the same time they are very supportive and I am super happy with them. My pictures kind of make them look blue and a pink / red, but they are “Raw Purple,Shock Red” according to adidas.

~adidas Kanoi Rucpack Dye Jacket ($89.99): This jacket is made out of 100% polyester ripstop. It’s on the thinner side, but it will give you protection on windy / rainy days when you want something on, but not something too heavy. The best part about this though is that it folds up into a little pouch and weighs just about nothing.  You can take it with you anywhere.  And since it’s designed to be wrinkled, you don’t even have to worry about how to stuff it into the pouch.

~adidas Stella McCartney Big Sport Bag ($190): My goodness, this bag is huge!  Like giant.  It’s 17″x17″ and could fit your gym shoes, a few changes of clothing, toiletries, etc.  You could easily use this as an overnight bag or as a carry-on.  It has a zip-top, dual handles and a removable cross body (or shoulder) strap. It has 4 slip pockets on the inside, plus one zipped pocket.  The outside has two large zip pockets on the front. It’s also made out of 100% polyester ripstop, but this feels much thicker than the above jacket.

~adidas Supernova Bra – Melange ($40): This bra is 89% polyester / 11% elastic interlock and has sewn in padded support to create a smooth appearance. According to the site, this color is “multi”, but I would describe it as an hot orange / pink.  It’s comfortable and also stylish – it actually matches the Pure Boost shoes in this box.

~adidas Adistar Three-Quarter Tight ($90): These tights are 90% polyamide / 11% elastane jacquard (I realize that’s more than 100%, but that’s what the card says). adidas describes them as “best in class” and I have to say, they are pretty fabulous. I don’t really want to spend $90 on capri leggings so I won’t be buying more, but I will for sure enjoy these.  The waistband has a drawstring and there is a little sweat-proof pocket to keep money or keys dry.

All totaled I came up with a value of $529.99 for the Spring 2016 Avenue A by Adidas box.  I am blown away.  I actually had to add up the numbers twice to make sure it was right  This box rocks and I am thrilled with it.

What do you think of the Spring 2016 Avenue A by Adidas box? This Spring box is now sold out, but you can pre-order the Summer 2016 box which is scheduled to ship in June.

This is a great box. I know they asked for shoe size, but did they ask for sizes for the other items? The additional items aren’t one size fits all type of things.

They ask for sizes for everything. When you sign up they ask for sizes in all this (I hope the image shows up):

Would you say the sizes on the items are true to the size you specified?

I think adidas is generally TTS. If you are unsure what you wear in the brand, you could always run into a sporting goods store and try a few things on?? Shoes are sometimes funny, so I did size up 1/2 size.

I got my box today too, and I could not open it so fast hehehe, I was actually in a middle of a meeting and I finished it super fast, the shoes are amazing, I am pretty picky with running shoes but this feel so good, I have been wearing them since they arrive (just for testing of course) :D, I think the value is amazing and I think for a first box they set a pretty high standard for next boxes, and they definitely have me for at least the next two/three or maybe 4 hehehehe

Totally wish I’d bought this. I was going to, then I wasn’t, then I was, and ultimately, I spent all my extra money on other things. And I’m totally disappointed in myself! looks like an amazing box! Maybe I’ll get in on the June one.

  4. Alecia

I hope the Summer box is equally as amazing!!! 🙂

This box is everything! ? I’m so happy I went out on a limb and got one. Jen, I’m thinking they didn’t include a box for the shoes so people couldn’t return them to a store for a refund.

    1. Jennifer

      Ohhh, maybe that’s it??

I didn’t get this because I’m super picky about my shoes but now I really wish I had. At the same time, I’m now convinced that if I run out and sign up, the next box will suck. So, in order to keep things wonderful for the rest of you, and sad for me, I’m holding off. You’re welcome 😛

I know value is there, but when it comes down to it, I could pick all of my own items for that price. I don’t run, just treadmill, so any shoe will do. Same with the capris. The jacket is cute, but I saw a lightweight packable one at CVS for 9.99. Sports bras need to be sized for me to work. Love the bag – it would make a perfect carry on but I have enough bags.
That said, I think I’m going to jump on new boxes, because they all seem to start amazingly well. A lot of people wait to see what’s in it, because it can be a big gamble. I don’t end up buying the second box – I too am afraid the second box couldn’t possibly be as good.

Wow! So excited to get home to open my box. Best box I’ve ever seen

Got mine today. It looks from the enclosure that the bag was a welcome gift, so future boxes won’t be quite so over the top. Still an amazing value though.

I picked up my box today and even though I knew what was inside, it was thrilling to open it up. I love everything in this box…and the Stella bag is just perfect for travel and the gym. It’s very good quality. This box was a delight and I tip my hat to Adidas for a job well done. I’m expecting the value will be much lower next quarter, but I think they’ll release a spoiler before hand.
