Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box ReviewThe packaging on this box was amazing! I couldn’t help my smile when I opened this box up.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

The Spring 2016 Beautycon BFF box was curated by grav3yardgirl (aka Bunny – a super popular YouTuber) and included the following items:

~Beautycon x Grav3yardgirl Keychain (~$10): This is certainly one of the most interesting subscription box items I have received to date.  It’s not exactly “me”, but it’s very Grav3yardgirl so it makes complete sense in this box. According to this article, it’s actually a cast of one of her antique dolls from the 1800s. And really, it’s growing on me.

~Beautycon x Grav3yardgirl Tie-dye Hair Ties (~$5): Maybe not a wow item, but I always need more hair ties.  My only issue with these is that my hair gets all stuck in them.  Does this happen to anyone else? And how do you stop it?

~beautyblender Micro Mini ($18): These were the item I was most excited about when I saw the spoilers for this box!  I have a few of the large beautyblenders, but sometimes you don’t need them to be that big.  These little ones are ideal for small blemishes or eye shadows and can fit in even the most stuffed of makeup bags.

~Benefit They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara (30g) ($8.47): Benefit They’re Real is one of my favorite mascaras.  It doesn’t clump and lengthens and gives my lashes the amazing volume.  I’ve also never had any issues with it flaking or bothering my eyes.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

~Dolls Kill Gift Card ($20): All boxes include a $20 Dolls Kill gift card.  It’s valid through 8.1.16 and DOES NOT include shipping.  Even though you will have to spend money to redeem this one, I am going to include it in my overall value.  Because listen, who doesn’t need a giant red gummy bear pool float this summer?

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

~Garnier Skin Active Purifying Oil-Free Cleansing Towelettes ($5.99): Garnier Towelettes are infused with charcoal which helps to draw out dirt, oil and makeup.  I love towelettes for traveling and for nights when I am just too tired for anything else.  These worked well for me and the price tag is perfection.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

~GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment (0.5oz) ($22): GlamGlow is one item that pops up in subscription boxes on a frequent basis, but it’s not something I will ever get tired of.  If you have never used it before don’t let the texture scare you. It’s thick and gritty and looks like it has chunks of seaweed in it, but it works.  It really does leave your skin glowing.
Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

~ Maybelline The Rock Nudes Cosmetics Palette ($11.99): The Rock Nudes includes shades for just about everyone.  You could go dark with a matte black or navy or go in a totally different direction and use the shimmery beige and soft cream.

~Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum ($11.65): This seems like it’s going to be a great everyday moisturizer.  It has a built in SPF30 and I didn’t find it to be too heavy at all.  Curiously, there was also a Murad product in the last Beautycon BFF box.  This doesn’t necessarily seem much like a Bunny pick, but I am thrilled with it.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review
~ NCLA Grav3yardgirl Designer Nail Wraps ($16): These are the most unique and interesting nail wraps I have ever seen!  I think my favorite ones in the set are the goldfish.  How unexpected!  I won’t wear them all together, but on a nail here and there, totally.  Except for maybe the ones with the dolls. I can’t really see myself putting those on my nails.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

~NYX Makeup Setting Spray – Matte (2fl.oz / 60mL) ($8): This spray sets your makeup and gives you a “gorgeous shine-free matte finish”.  It’s a good, not too expensive way to try out a setting spray to see if it works for you (or of it’s something you need).  I feel like it will come in very handy as the weather starts to heat up.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

~Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick ($10): I received this in “Nudie Red”, which may or may not be the color all subscribers received.  I am not sure. It’s a little too brown for my tastes, but I think topped with a gloss I can work with it.

Beautycon BFF Spring 2016 Subscription Box Review

All totaled I came up with a value of $147.10 for the Beautycon BFF box.  I did estimate some of the items, but regardless, the value was amazing.  I know this box targets teens, but I feel like it’s going to work for a variety of age groups – teen and beyond.

This Spring Beautycon BFF is now sold out and they are not currently taking any new subscription orders, but I will post as soon as they are and also when we hear who the Summer box curator is.

Spread the love

So funny, girl! I laughed out loud at work…

That creepy baby doll keychain is my favorite. I would buy it from you! I’m really mad I missed this when it had the coupon, but I think the last box was better. Off to look at gummy bear pool floats…

Does your Pacifica lipstick smell funny? I got one in Ipsy (i think) once, and it smelled awful…..

It actually kind of smells like Play-doh???

I actually am intrigued by this one…the teenage me would’ve killed for that keychain! Everything looks useful/useable.

Gotta say I hate Pacifica lip products though.

  5. Desiree

Agree! I received the Pacifica lip in Ipsy and it’s horrendous! The smell is?

Any word on the curator of the Summer 2016 BeautyCon box?
