Stitch Fix July 2016 Subscription Box Review
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx (out of Dallas) this month and took just a few days to arrive. Stitch Fix ships from a few different warehouse locations in the US. I used to think they shipped based on your location, but I’m not so sure anymore.

My July 2016 Stitch Fix (which is Fix #34 for me) contained the following:

~41 Hawthorn Rocco Jersey Faux Wrap Dress ($78):I love everything about the stress. Except how it looks on me.  The fabric is thick enough not to be see through, but thin enough to keep you cool. It’s stretchy and smooth and just beautiful.  It fits me oddly though (wrap dresses typically aren’t my friends) so it’s going back.  Verdict: Returned.

~Bobi Zeva Hoodie Cardigan ($98): The Stylist Note mentions my love for hoodies and she’s right, I LOVE them.  This is a sweatshirt material and seems like it’s tad expensive, but I will get a ton of use out of it and I am keeping it. Verdict: Kept.

~Sweet Grey Tulay Crochet Detail Knit Top ($54): This is a such a pretty top and I love the color. The detail on the top is also fabulous! It’s too expensive for me to keep though. Had it been $20 less I would have been all over it.

~Loveappella Zander Mesh Detail Roll Tab Knit Top ($54): In theory I love this shirt, but it’s another piece that, on me, just doesn’t work.  I think it’s too short.  Or too boxy?  It’d work better (on me) if it were longer or more form fitting.  The detail on the sleeves is pretty as is the seam in the back. Verdict: Returned.

~Renee C Kira Printed Maxi Skirt ($58): I *think* I love this, but I am just not sure.  I love the colors and the pattern (and the fit), but I am not sure if it all works together?  At least not for me?  I need to think about this one. Verdict: Not Sure

While I am only keeping one (maybe two) items from this Stitch Fix, I felt like my stylist did a great job selecting items for me. I don’t always want to keep all five pieces (it gets way too expensive), so if I get a piece or two that I love I am happy.
