Boxwalla boxes (the boxes themselves) are probably one of the most interesting boxes out there. They are made in India from tree-free handmade paper. The boxes are made out of cotton scraps, using the traditional art of paper-making that involves nine steps and takes several weeks. The handmade paper is then meticulously fashioned into the boxes that the goodies get shipped in.
The December 2016 Boxwalla Beauty Box theme was “Let it glow, Let it glow, Let it glow” and included the following items:
~Lina Hanson’s Global Face Trio (special edition 30 ml travel size : miron glass jar with bamboo spoon) ($25): If there was a spoon in here I totally missed it (it’s possible it was buried way down on the crinkly paper). This 3-in-1 product works as a cleanser, an exfoliator and/or a mask. It ipurifies, brightens, clarifies, and balances the skin all while being eco-friendly. It is made out of ethically harvested ingredients and so far, I am loving it. I have been using it as an exfoliator and so far I am happy. I think I *could* use it every day, but I’m happy with the “pop” it’s been giving my skin this way. I have only mixed it with water so far, but I feel like this could also be mixed with yogurt, honey, milk, etc. to more customize your results.
~ Sacha Inchi Eye Nectar from Wabi Sabi Botanicals ($52): This eye nectar “targets dark circles, inflammation, discoloration, and visible signs of aging around the eyes”. Uhh, hello, was this designed for me?? It’s 100% natural, non-toxic and is vegan and cruelty-free. It feels a little oily on your skin, but maybe that’s why these bags under my eyes need? I will be keeping this on my desk and using once or twice a day!
~RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer ($38): This luminizer does exactly what it says it will. It will illuminate your skin without leaving it shiny or glittery. It’s designed to make you glow and it does.
All totaled the December 2016 Boxwalla Beauty Box had a value of $115. I thought it was a little “light” when I opened it up and saw just 3 items, but I am thrilled with everything they included and the value is outstanding.
