All of the products ship inside a drawstring bag that coordinates with that month’s theme.  I saw someone mention on Reddit that this bag reminded them of the Wendy’s girl.  LOL!

The April 2017 Play! by Sephora theme is “STEP it UP” and included the following items:

~Ole Henriksen: Truth Serum (7mL) ($12): This treatment is designed for brightening and all-day hydration.  It smells good, makes my skin feel good and really does brighten!  It is also formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates.  Good stuff!

~Dr. Dennis Gross ferulic + retinol wrinkle recovery peel (2 peels) ($11): Uhh, yeah, this is amazing.  It’s not harsh and did not irritate my skin at all.  And it works.  It left my skin brighter and dare I say, looking younger?  I may need to take advantage of the VIB sale and get more. This peel is also formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates.

~Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (7.1mL) ($9): This primer is lightweight and oil-free and helps give your skin that smooth look normally only found in that amazing SnapChat filter.  It’s designed to be worn under foundation, but I will sometimes wear it alone as well to help with shine and to get a bit of that blurred skin look.

~Make Up Forever Aqua XL Waterproof Eye Pencil in m-10 (0.01oz) ($5.25): This did the job as promised.  It went on smoothly and “set” quickly.  It didn’t smudge, but I found it to be more crayon-like.  If a thin eyeliner is what you are looking for, this won’t work.  But if you want to do a smokey eye, this is great.

~Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (25mL) ($3.75): This is also formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates.  It did the job and wasn’t greasy or irritating.  The packaging is beautiful too!  So pretty.

~Juliette Has a Gun – Not A Perfume Fragrance (1.7mL) ($2.30): This fragrance has a single note – cetalox, which is which it’s “not a perfume.”  It’s described as “woody & earthy”, but I thought it was more of a fresh, clean scent.

All totaled I came up with a value of $43.30 for the April 2017 Play! by Sephora.  I received Box #591, and am super happy with it!  You can see all the variations here if you are interested – there were four different ones this month.

What did you think of the April 2017 Play! by Sephora?  If you are interested in subscribing (and you probably should be because their boxes are great), you can check them out here.

This is the variation I got, too. I like everything in it.

I received a variation of the box you got. Not impressed to say the least. March’s box was much better vs this months box where oh imho came off looking cheap. Just saying….. ?
