Stitch Fix Review - April 2017

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Stitch Fix is now offering exchanges for sizing as well. Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on, and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix
Cost: $20 Styling Fee + Cost of Items Kept ($20 fee will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment.)

I don’t do the best job of filling out my checkout form and reviewing the pieces I get, but I do have my Stitch Fix blog reviews linked in my profile which I think helps a lot.

Stitch Fix Review - April 2017

My April 2017 Stitch Fix (Fix #44) included the following items:

~Bancroft Rowan Hammered Infinity Cuff ($28): I love the style of this cuff, but I thin I’ve finally realized that my wrists aren’t meant for cuffs;(.  They just feel small and too tight. Verdict: Returned.

~Tart Milla Crew Neck Knit Top ($58): I like everything about this one in theory, but in reality, it just wasn’t flattering.  Not on me anyway.  The necklace isn’t quite a crew neck, but it’s not a scoop neck either.  I’m also not a fan of where the sleeves end – it’s almost like it’s too short for me, but that’s how it’s supposed to be. Verdict: Returned.

~Ink Love & Peace Calyn Cowl Neck Knit Pullover ($64): Love this! It’s totally me, and I couldn’t wait to wear it.  My sister-in-law got this in her last fix, and I remember wishing it would come in mine.  And it did!  I love the neckline, the drawstring bottom and, of course, the pockets. I probably could have gotten away with a smaller size, but I prefer that it covered by butt. Verdict: Kept.

~Gilli Ryland Knit 2fer Maxi Dress ($79): Meh.  I asked for some summer dresses in this fix and my stylist selected this one for me because I’m not overly confident about my arms, but this was a miss.  I felt awkward in it, and it just wasn’t my style at all.  Plus it was super long – that’s not the dresses fault though ;). Verdict: Returned.

~Gilli Kodi Jersey Maxi Dress ($79): I love this dress, but it absolutely does not love me.  I am obsessed wth the print, and I thought the quality was amazing.  However, the waistline was not flattering on me.  It’s too high for my body type and pretty much made me look pregnant (which I am not).  LOL! With great sadness, I will be sending this one back. Verdict: Returned.

I am only keeping one item from this month’s Stitch Fix, but I am okay with that.  I love the piece I am keeping, and I don’t necessarily want to always love every piece because it would be too expensive to keep everything every month!

Do you get Stitch Fix?  What have been your favorite items you’ve received so far?  If you haven’t checked out Stitch Fix but want to give it a try, click here.  And don’t forget, the better feedback and more information you give, the better chance you will have to get amazing Fixes that work for you!

You are looking so slim! Also, glad to know I’m not the only one who has a thing about my arms.

LOVE the top you kept! And I love the paisley print on that dress. I know that brand sometimes uses the same fabrics for different items, I wonder if there’s a top with it somewhere….
