We have HEB Curbside and the only time I have been upset that they substituted something was when they replaced my regular cornbread with sweet cornbread. Bleh! There are two very serious schools of thought regarding cornbread in Texas and I am of the non-sweetened cornbread side! But you’re right, had I wanted to make sure it was exactly what I wanted I should have gone inside or made it from scratch.
Should I admit that I do not know the difference?? I am ashamed.
Haha! It’s definitely a Texas/southern thing! We make our “stuffing” (which we call dressing) with cornbread rather than white bread, just imagine sweet stuffing… YUCK!
