The December 2018 GlobeIn Artisan Box “CELEBRATE” themed box included the following items:

1. Tropical Swirl Martini Glass (Set of 2), Mexico (Retail $36 each): Every time GlobeIn sells glassware I am impressed. It just does not disappoint.  Every piece is slightly different due to the glass blowing process.  I only wish it were warmer (or warm in general) so I could sit on the patio and sip on a cocktail in these

2. Sari Fabric Wraps (Set of assorted 3), India (Retail $38): I wasn’t totally sure how these were to be used at first, but they really can be used for just about anything.  From wrapping paper, to table runners, to a shawl or even bandana!  I am thinking that they would be great to take on a picnic to use as a sort of placemat and a napkin in one.

3. Yellow Rombo Palm Leaf Basket, Mexico (Retail $15): These baskets are hand wove in Mexico and come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. They can be used as gift wrap, to store toiletries, you name it!

4. Multi-color Handmade Papers Rosette, Nepal (Retail $10): This paper rosette is handmade by women co-op in Kathmandu, Nepal.  They use the bark of the daphne plant (or lokta) to create gorgeous papers, which are then sewn together by local women rations.  I am not sure how I am going to display mine, but it is sure to be an eye-catcher.

What do you think of GlobeIn? If you are interested in subscribing, you can head over to their site and get signed up. Don’t forget that new customers can use the coupon code “WELCOME” to save $10 off their first month of a 3-month subscription to GlobeIn Artisan Box.
