Amaretto sours! Tastes like lemonade with a hint of almond. Refreshing and near impossible to actually get drunk on.

My favorite cocktail is the singapore sling for sentimental reasons. I was med-evaced to Singapore while my husband was serving overseas, it’s when I got the news we couldn’t have kids. We were sad, but he was SO sweet. He made a really dark time into a wonderful bonding experience. We had so much fun in Singapore. He never let me fall down that well of grief, instead, he started the adoption ball rolling and got us to the place we needed to be. On our last night there, we went to the Long Bar at Raffles and had some drinks. The bartender was so great, he made us singapore slings then wrote down the recipe on a linen napkin and signed it. Now whenever we have parties, we point out the recipe we have framed inside our liquor chest and it’s always a great conversation starter.
