May 2014 PupBox (2 Month-Old Puppy)
May 2014 PupBox (2 Month-Old Puppy)

PupBox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly service for you and your new puppy. Each box will include 4-6 premium products. All boxes will include 1 bag of training treats and 3-5 additional products that are selected based on the age and physical characteristics of your puppy.  Baxter and Buddy aren’t puppies, but in order to better show how the box works, they sent me items for a 2-month old puppy.  You can get a PupBox for your adult dog as well, however, it won’t contain age specific items. It will include a new advanced trick for you and your dog to work on however!

The Box

PupBox ships via USPS Priority Mail around the 15th of the month.  All customers who sign up before the 15th of the month will receive their box that month.  PupBox will work to send customers who sign up after the 15th a box that month, but note that it may not go out until the following month.

First Look

Everything looked great in the first look!  Lots of products I had never seen before which always makes me happy!

The Information Card

PupBox doesn’t have a product information card, but they do include information regarding your pet’s stage of development. The two-month old box included information on puppy proofing and crate training!  I had kind of forgotten how much work it is to have a puppy!  Totally worth it though.  Here is what out box included:

~Patchwork Pet Frog Toy ($4.99): Perfect for those sharp puppy teeth!  Somehow my dogs always knew which toys were theirs and and what they could and couldn’t chew on, but I know not everyone is as lucky and many shoes are lost, so lots of chew toys are a good thing.

Patchwork Pet Frog Toy

~The Wee-Nut ($9.73): You can stuff this with treats or play fetch with it.  Puppies need to be occupied and this is a perfect thing for that!

The Wee-Nut~

~Plato Organic Chicken Dog Treats ($8.99): Yummy treats for your puppy to reward them of good behavior!  Baxter and Buddy were crate trained and I cannot even tell you how easy it was to get them to run into their crates because they knew they’d be getting a treat.

Plato Organic Chicken Dog Treats

~Zuke’s Z-Bone Dental Chew ($2.58): Another great bone for your new puppy.  They help with dental hygiene and also give those teeth something to chew on!

Zuke’s Z-Bone Dental Chew

~Unique Pet Odor and Stain Eliminator ($5.25): This one has Buddy’s name written all over it!  Ever since he was a puppy he liked to have accidents in the house.  You mix it with water and spray so your puppy doesn’t return to that spot to take care of business again!

Unique Pet Odor and Stain Eliminator

~Wags & Wiggles Purify Wipes ($3.44): These are baby wipes, but for puppies!  Sometimes you don’t have time for a full bath but need a little freshening up.  I know my dogs too.  Lots of muddy feet in the Spring at my house.

Wags & Wiggles Purify Wipes

All totaled I came up with a value of $34.98 for the May 2014 PupBox (for a 2-month old puppy).  I really enjoyed the items and liked they included the information sheet to help guide you on your way.
