July 2014 Citrus Lane

I am always excited to see my Citrus Lane box and today’s July 2014 Citrus Lane box was no exception. The box that I received today was the 4 year-old box that I get (just a random age that I picked) and not WB’s (he’s 27 months) box. I don’t think his will be here for another few days.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane  is $29/month, but they have a coupon code “TAKE20OFF” which lets you pick up your first box for $9! And if you order an annual subscription the price drops down to $19/month.  I always opt for the longer subscription with them because it’s a way better deal.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and, as usual, took a week to arrive. This box shipped on the 10th, while WB’s actual box shipped on the 15th.  Not sure why some ship sooner than others, but they do.

First Look

I had seen assorted spoilers for this month’s box, but I didn’t know exactly what we’d be getting.  I am not sure what WB’s will contain either actually.  I was super happy when I opened the box to this though because I knew the boys would love it.

The Information Card

The July 2014 Citrus Lane box includes the following items to make your time out of the house this summer more enjoyable:

~Match Stacks from Tree Hopper Toys ($19.99): These are a tad old for WB (which makes sense because this isn’t the box for his age group), but I am going to use them as flashcards and to practice stacking now.  Then we’ll play memory face up (thank you for the suggestion Glenna) and when he’s ready he’ll flip them to make it a true memory game!  I am so glad I opted for the transportation ones because WB need some help in this area.  He constantly calls a “plane” a “boat”.  No matter how many times I tell him, show him pictures, etc. when he sees / hears a jet he points to it and yells “BOAT” (which comes out like butt so it’s even more entertaining)!

~John Deere Monster Tread from TOMY ($9.99): Love!  Trucks, tractors, construction vehicles, you name it and my boys like it.  Does anyone know if there were variations of these sent out?  Because I am going to need one for each boy, but I wouldn’t mind if they were different ones.

~Applesauce Pouch from GoGo Squeeze ($1): WB hates these, but L loves them.  I am not I am ever sure if I knew they came in grape?  Is that new?

~Pur~Protect SPF30 from Pur~Lisse ($16.50): Oh man, someone really wants me to fall in love with this don’t they?  It’s everywhere.  I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either.  I am hoping not to get any more of it for a while, but they can send me all the Pur~Lisse lip balm they want because I do love that!

All totaled I came up with a value of $47.48 for the July 2014 Citrus Lane Box.  I think this is one of the most “valuable” Citrus Lane boxes I have received in a long time from CL!  And I think it’s awesome.  The tractor and the match stacks were worth the cost of the box for me (I buy like 12 months at a time so it’s $19/month) and the rest was just a bonus!

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here and use coupon code “TAKE20OFF” to save $20 off your first box!  That would make your first Citrus Lane box $9 which is incredible!!! Or you could use the code “BOXSHOP30” to get $15 off your first box and $15 in shop credits!  You will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s totally an amazing way to try them out!
