1Love Candles, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly candle / tart subscription bag. Every month you will receive a package of wonderfully scented candles, lotion candles, and tarts!
1Love Candles ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just a few days to arrive to me.
1Love Candles packages everything in a reusable burlap bag. I always forget that burlap sheds, so I ended up with it all over my pants. Oops!
I couldn’t tell quite what everything was yet, but it did smell amazing!
The December 2014 1Love Candles theme was “Holiday Love” and included the following items:
~Woodland Berries Candle ($7): I can’t recall if I caused this chunk to fall out of the candle or if it came like this. Sometimes WB helps me unpack boxes, so you never know ;). But once I start burning it it will not even matter!
~Sugared Spruce & Cinnamon Bun Tart ($3.33): First can I just sat that these are adorable? They look like chocolates! But don’t eat them because they are so not! I am dying to try these, but I realized that I don’t have a tart warmer. Can someone point me in the direction of a good (inexpensive) one?
~White Tea and Ginger Massage Candle ($6.50): Again, this one smells amazing! And what is a massage candle you ask? Well, you light it, wait a few minutes and then blow it out and pour the soy wax on your skin and rub in like lotion. I will admit that I am scared to try this! It says it’s a low-temperature wax so it won’t burn you though so I just need to get over it and try it!
~Mulberry Tarts ($2.50): Again these smell awesome, but I do not have a tart warmer! I badly want my house to smell like these (and the other tarts) so I need to get on that as soon as possible.
All totaled I came up with a value of $19.33 for the December 2014 1Love Candles bag. With shipping it’s $21.81, but if you were to purchase the items individually from the 1Love Candle etsy shop you would be paying shipping for it as well, so I think it works out about even?
What do you think of 1Love Candles, LLC? Have you ever tried a candle subscription? What do you think?
